Yet as the adults in the room the simmers address an issue by explaining what they believe to be an issue and offering a possible solution. Rather than blaming someone who has no influence on the process. And are not personal attacks something you can be banned for on this forum?
But my contention has always been they could have catered to both by just adding some additional settings to the game, the ability to turn off a few features, adjust rough length that actually does something and add different green speeds. And to fix a few core components... namely RNG, ball and cup physics.
I just wished most simmers wanted to have options to turn on/off any request made to increase difficulty. But none of them did except for Allen. I was the voice of resistance to any increase in difficulty and I stated that options should be added unilaterally for all levels; Allen was the only simmer who agreed with me. A different simmer told me to play better in another resistance post. Our debates are respectful and I remembered you only wanted the options to be applied to beginners only. Tha would be very difficult to implement compared to have options all across the board.
I am resisting because I want to save the series. If this game gets even harder, PGA Tour will join NBA Live 19 as the last game of respective series. I have stopped becoming the voice of resistance once I stopped playing the game. But Katybee has awoken my resolve to resistance since I the see the game getting worse.
I watch the Hunger Games movies and I opened the voice of resistance like Lucy Gray. Katybee is more like Katniss and she has become the new voice of resistance. All of us have the same goal of saving the series, but we just see a different perspective.
I have been painted with a brush saying I am one these simmers. And I guess I can accept that mantle, between arcade and sim I definitely fall in that category.
I have no issues with you, as I have always felt you were respectful in your posts. I just don't like how some people here are painting a group with one broad brush.
The things I have lobbied for would make play more realistic and only easier for the arcade player.
1. Fix the ball physics... the ball rolls out way too much for mid to long irons. This would help arcade players hit their yardages... and things would feel more realistic for us sim players.
2. Tighten up the RNG, you should be rewarded for executing a good shot. Again this would only benefit the arcade player.
3. Fix the cup physics... EA may have changed them but in no way did they fix anything. You can blame the simmers... but EA does what they want and the cup physics were broken from the start and needed to be addressed. And still does.
4. Add options to disable features in the game (ie. hiding the aiming reticule)... this hurts no one and only adds more functionality for those that want it.
5. Allow me to control the settings for my Private matches with individual toggles. Currently you can eirher use a preset or the room is open to whatever the players personal settings are. Again this only adds to gameplay.
6. Turn based play... I didn't even fully ask for this, I was happy if they gave us the ability to toggle to the player who had honors with a zoom function. As adults we could choose to play ready golf or turn based as in real life.
From what I can remember this is pretty much what I have been lobbying for since April. I don't think they are listening to me. I doubt my requests have even been reviewed by anyone.
I don't see how singling people/groups out gets us any closer to getting this game to a better place. You are just taking the attention away from those that can do anything to fix things, namely EA.
