Any positive posts to read?
I’ve been playing this game for a little over 2 months now, at 1st I never really liked the game but now, I think it’s very good and fun to play, I levelled up my golfer in that time and it has reall...

@BhamelThanks, had a great xmas, started playing EA golf again in the new year and I am really enjoying it, using different golf bags with each bag carrying different specs/balls/wedges and testing them out on all the courses, I am also testing out each shot type with the different specs and have slightly rejigged my golfers experience points to more closely enhance my weak spots. I find there is so much to learn with this game. I too enjoyed 2k23 golf for a while, but only played with a friend online, and I loved the course creator, but the game was exasperating
Define exasperating.
Do you mean sort of like golf in real life?

@ELF014no not like golf in real life, more like poor ball physics, poor swing mechanics, lack of consistency in swing tempo, swing plane not relating to type of shot, lack of flexibility to create unique shots, 2k23 has lost a lot since HB studios are no longer involved.
I would have to respectfully disagree. I play on LEGENDARY settings with everything but the wind direction disabled. My screen has nothing but the hole information and scorecard on it.
The ball physics may not be perfect, but overall plays much better than EA (it isn't close). The swing mechanics are repeatable so I have no issues with how it was implemented... and I curse a lot about the swing tempo but I am aware it is me and not the game, because under MASTER settings I have no issues. There is no issue with the swing plane it works as designed.
And you can manipulate different shot types but they didn't make it easy, it is easier to setup to hit every shot in this game with a fullswing. Which is my biggest gripe about the changes they made in 2K21 moving forward... while some content providers wanted a faster swing... I wanted it left alone. The new swing speed took away hitting partial shots... what should have done was removed the allowance for perfect timing.
I haven't played EA since the last patch... and I cannot say I miss the game. The game physics are all over the place, it lacks any sort of challenge and there bugs that annoy me.
Games have bugs... but seldom are they an annoyance.
can't understand why you spend time in this forum as you spend an awful amount of time talking about 2k golf. 2k golf and EA golf are two different golf games offering different approaches of how we play golf. I disagree with you about 2k swing mechanics being repeatable. I think people get used to playing a certain way and find it hard to adapt to a new way. You tuber RESPAWN has a great video about the swing mechanics of EA golf with superb explanations of how it works and how it is different to 2k. The video is about 9 months old but very informative. I play EA everyday and I really do enjoy the game, the game physics are very much to my liking and though I like the challenges on offer so far, there could be more done to create more challenges. But I believe those challenges can be partially met by looking at rough and bunker penalties with a view to making them more punishing. I also agree with you that games have bugs and in the early days of 2k23 the game was unplayable with fasts and slows and intermittent swing tempos, virtual no swing plane info until after you played your shot and a host of you tube gamers ranting and raving about not being able to calibrate their swing with anything other than a driver (fairway woods/irons/wedges all have different swing planes and swing tempos none of which could be calibrated).
I don't believe devs can make a game that will suit everybody's needs and be to everyone liking, and while I loved 2k23 at the time, after playing EA golf, I find it a whole different and entertaining game that mostly suits how I envisage golf to be played and more closely resembles the golf I see on the PGA tour
@Allan5858 What I find VERY strange about Respawn making that video about the swing mechanics is that EA asked him to do the video and his explanation wasn’t correct anyway. Furthermore, I’d ask why didn’t EA make the video themselves? I suggest that EA have never put out a video explaining the swing mechanics because the RNG makes any explanation lack any sense and if people called BS on the video, EA would look far better if a YouTuber was the sacrificial lamb.
Having actually played golf for most of the last 5 years and now looking to get my handicap down to single figures this year, I can honestly say the golf EA’s game produces just isn’t golf at all due to some long standing and glaring issues related to RNG, lack of difficulty (both with the swing and compromising lies) and awful physics.
Golf is hard… Unless you play EA then EA stands for Easy Albatrosses or Everybody’s Annoyed 😆
