FIFA has an amazingly good character creator. Best I've ever seen anyway.

Absolutely not true my friend. EA Sports PGA Tour Golf literally had the best player creation in all of gaming history at one point. They still hold that title till this day.

You've misread my post there. You can't know what the best I've seen is better than me 🙂.

My #1 request is for a Mouse Swing
Even if it's just the PC version that gets it, a good/great mouse swing is basically an expectation for PC golfers in the last 20+ years.
No Mouse Swing being in EA PGA 23 is also really disappointing because EA TW 2008 had a great mouse swing!!
I think many of us expected, rightfully so, that EA returning to the PC for the first real time since 2008 would have meant a mouse swing again.
Controllers are what they are. A mouse, with it's totally unconstrained range of motion is such a perfect fit for a golf swing
It allows so much potential, challenge, nuance, feel, swing path control.
A controller simply can't match it
Going back to a controller feels like a major regression if one is used to PC Mouse Swing golf.EA: Please do a Mouse Swing for EA PGA 23!

I'd really like the option to save and resume Quick Play rounds. This is the only place to play practice rounds that I can see right now and it's rather limiting to have to decide/know before you start how many holes you'll have time for. Yes you could come back next time and choose to just play the holes that were left but we lose all XP that would have been earned from the holes played initially from quiting the round.

An idea to add into the mix:
I wonder if limiting each player to entering only one weekly and one seasonal tournament would be a good idea to give a better experience to newer players? I'm saying this as right now a beginner entering the weekly or seasonal Arcade mode tournaments is going to find the top of the leaderboards full of players who are also at the top the leaderboards of the higher difficulty modes. Limiting access to one event would presumably lead to players choosing the difficulty appropriate to their skill level and so create a situation where there was a more natural progression for developing players, like a real sportsperson developing through different levels of tournament
Note that the rewards for finishing positions is a significant factor here, rather than it just being a question of pride over where people finish.

I think it was a smart thing they did. because mouse swings were so exploited it killed off the franchise from the PC. Painfully obvious right from when the introduced it in 2005, to when they eventually abandoned the pc in 2008. Counterstrike coined the term, "stackers" League of Legends coined the term "smurfers" and the ea sports pga tour community coined the term "Edgers".
