Update on EA SPORTS PGA TOUR

Game launching during the week of the Masters Tournament

Hi Golf Fans,

We have an update to share on EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™.

EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will now launch the week of the Masters Tournament, with an early access release on Tuesday, April 4 and worldwide launch on Friday, April 7. Creating an authentic golf experience has been our goal, and this small shift in release date allows us to add a few final touches to the game that we are very excited to deliver to all of you, including updates to some favorite courses to reflect 2023 designs.

In the last couple months we’ve shown all the great content we’ve packed into EA SPORTS PGA TOUR – the exclusive home of all men’s four majors – and we have a few more details to share in the weeks ahead. If you haven’t already, check out the deep dive videos on gameplay, including the all-new Pure Strike shot system, and the 30 bucket-list courses that will be available to play at launch. We’ll have more to come as we get closer to launch, so stay with us at @EASPORTSPGATOUR on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for the latest updates.

Just curious on if we're getting any driving or putting ranges, and what type of variety if any. Would be nice to have the launch courses each with their different practice ranges.

My hunch is you'll find PGA Tour rather more graphically demanding than FIFA. Bear in mind that current gen consoles have 60 and 120 Hz modes for FIFA 23 but are only getting 30 Hz for PGA Tour (as originally announced anyway).

Has to be 60 on consoles. It’s ‘next gen’ only.

Imagine releasing a game in 2023 that’s locked to 30fps. Then imagine doing that with a sports game!

It would be laughably poor. They’d never live it down, nor should they.

What do you mean? There's no arguing that there would be a noticeable difference in how the game feels between 30 and 60 fps. Possibly you mean in terms of the impact on sales? That's not something that will really be possible to judge.

Whether it truly deters buyers or not, yes
I'm planning on buying on PC anyhow, so it's of no matter to me personally

It'll matter on 3 hit click mode definitely. I know Respawn Sports made an unlisted video on 30 vs 60fps side by side on 2k and the difference was obvious to anyone with 2 brain cells.

I think you need to go back and try again. There is no way to reset career. I lost connection and now cannot replay the U S amateur The last update has created more issues. The achievement s are not registering. Starting to regret my purchase.
