Why can't I use backspin/forward spin after the shot is hit?
How do you use backspin/side/front spin while the ball is in the air? I don't have the option of hitting L1/X ... is there a certain setting that I need to change?

I can use the post shot spin in challenges and when I was on the Korn Ferry Tour, but once I moved to the PGA Tour, I lost that ability for some reason. My settings are still set to allow it, and I don't see any settings specifically for the Career Mode where I need to change it there as well. Anyone else experience this?
Hey All - for the life of me I can't figure out how to get BackSpin on the ball. I've switched to the (R) joystick for swing...but no matter what I press (X-L1) and pull back on the (R) joystick..I cannot get backspin on the ball. It's frustrating to hit the front of the green and roll 60' to the back with the roll. Anyone else switch the controller and loose or still have the feature? Thanks for any help - /Greg
Whether you can apply post-shot spin will depend on your gameplay settings. If it's an available option to you it should show you what to press at the bottom of the screen once the shot has been hit.
You don't need to use any post-hit spin at all to play the game though. I don't. Club choice, shot type, skill upgrades and loft are all factors in this. The following may be of help:

I was under the impression that even a rookie could use that skill...but I get it...experience rules. From the EA controller features it makes it sound simple to use the skill (just hit the button (L1/X) and control the backspin with your r/l stick. I've only had the game for a week or so and thought coming from 2k23 (PS5) that the feature would be available right out of the gate. Backspin being essential to play the Pro mode makes it frustrating to not be able to control the ball...and I couldn't find any guidance searching online until now.

Currently the "Spin" is broken after the 9.0 patch. You can use Left/Right but the Forward/Back no longer works. I was hoping they fixed this in the 10.0 patch, but no such luck.
