Will there be a EA PGA Tour 2025?

Michelle, that's right, we had names for it at the time. The manhole cover, save and a beauty were all ideas from Simmers here.  And EA gave them what they want, ruining the game for all others. And even after that, Simmers kept whining the game was too easy, they wanted sidewalk fast greens that after the ball went over the hole, it would continue downhill either to the sand trap or back halfway down the fairways because that's how it works in PGA 2K.

In addition to the Sidewalk fast greens, the Simmers also made requests to make the sand and rough so punishing where it would be almost impossible to get out of it. Imagine the sand and rough having glue. Luckily they didn’t get implemented. If these changes were made, the game would have been re-titled to fallout since everyone else would have fallen out and quit the game much earlier.

SMH, 2K23 is a complete joke. Sis was playing career mode in there, and she saved one of her shot.

She was hitting at a pin in the back left corner of an uphill green, the pin was barely on the green so close it was to the edge. Her ball landed like 10 feet below the hole, before so very painfully moving inch by inch to the bottom of that long green. She ended up with almost a 100 foot putt. It was moving so slow, it looked like it was not moving. It took so long, we could have changed to our bikinis, made a Pina Colada, enjoy it by the pool and the ball would still not have reached the bottom of the green when we would have come back.

She has never touched that game after that, and I knew I would never played that joke of a game even though I downloaded it for free as a PS game of the month.  Can't believe some over there wanted this kind of insanity in this game.

LMAO!  I can't stand that big mess at 2K either. A better option for you two would have been to just stay at the pool, enjoy the day and forget about their ridiculous sim game.

To their defense, they do have many easy options, courses for beginners and those wanting to have a relaxing time.

When I play against a friend of mine online, we no longer have anything like the career mode. There's no ball markers, there's no fast forward, the ball goes through the gallery instead of bouncing off of them, you cannot concede a hole in match Play. There aren't enough sponsors and the sponsors don't give you anything. You have to buy it all. And career mode you're playing for chump change instead of  money. The very best golf game to date is Tiger Woods 2014 and I'm surprised that EA Sports have hired designers that know nothing about the game of golf

@Moonie54  This is kind of funny. The Lead Designer for this EA golf game was also working on TW12, TW13 and TW14.  And he has left to go working as Lead Designer for the new 2K golf game.

So, who's programing upgrades for the PGA Tour Road to the Masters ?

EA downsized and fired some 670 employees this year, cancelled and stopped support for anything not making enough money... so nobody is working on this game anymore. The game is dead. EA CEO called that layoff and sunsetting games.

With EA downsized and the lead designer jumping ship to 2K, the updates are non-existent, and unfortunately the game has become PGA Tour Road to Abandonment.

If EA specified the game to be more Arcade Friendly instead of a Simmer’s paradise in the early stages, the game might have done well and gotten a chance for another iteration. The Notorious Update 3 was the beginning of the end. By the time EA fixed the cup physics in Update 11, most of the casuals including myself have left the game. After the Tournament scores glitch, even more gamers from all levels said No Mas.

If EA plans to make another iteration, the game needs to be an over the top Arcade game like SSX Tricky or NBA Street. Another simulation based iteration would go nowhere in terms of sales.
