Seems I'm not the only one noticed this. I've finished the weekly quest and now struggling for new quest because my log is now empty for days. I've missed so far the 4 hour quests (because of this it made me check the game often). This was very helpful for collecting free pinatas. I have also noticed the daily 10 gems quest is gone to! Hope they bring it back.
Right. In general, this is a very bad update and unnecessary change. The four hour quests are needed to upgrade plants in different ‘worlds’. With them gone, play is much less fun. BattleZ is OK, not great... I don’t like that a) they pick a plant for one of the spots, b) there are not enough spots, they pick the opponent so they can decide if you can win AND 7 days is WAY too long to do the same thing as many as 30 times... VERY BAD.
I'm not sure if it is a buggy update or an attempt to push people to make purchases.
If they had just added Battlez and not taken away the other quests, I'd still be playing PVZ2, but I don't like BATTLEZ, the quests are gone, AND "Free Gems" no longer works.
I feel the message they're sending is "Do-a Purchase or go away".
The fact that PVZ2 is no longer that interesting has motivated me to look around for other games and I'm finding that there are a lot of cool games out there that I probably never would have even tried if I were still spending time with PVZ2
