If you registered your email address for gems, have your ORIGINAL player i.d. (the one associated with your lost profile) or have pvz2 on an old device, these are the three ways i know to get your account restored.
The only other way is to basically nag EA HELP to look up your account details, which is something they don't like doing.
If you search the forums you will see that a lot of players are in this situation so you're not alone.
Did you backup your progress via googleplay as well? Because if you do, you can restore your progress too.
