Thanks for the response David! I can confirm that traditional troubleshooting methods have not worked, nor is it a problem with my device in particular.
I strongly believe it is an app issue for this device. have found reports from other users with the same device that have this issue. Here are a few examples (the first Play Store review is mine). Any chance this can get passed on to the dev team for a future fix?
I do have the same problem on mate 20 lite.
Can be a problem with the device screen with notches..
Because on my mate 10 I didn't had any problem
