Bug With Plant Food of Nightshade

While I was using the PF of nightshade (from my garden reward) for a regular adventure mode, after using up its PF, it doesn't even shoot anymore when the zombie approaches. Below is the video record of it, the reason the zombie was knocked out was from the gloom vine from another lane & not nightshade itself, the only way it could be able to shoot any more leaves is when powered by the gloom vine which I find it odd. Please help resolve these issues, I'm very tired of how the developers are not responding or fixing them. :(
