Can’t claim daily gem award; Penny’s challenge

When completing daily challenges, I am not able to claim the 10 gem reward. Every once in awhile it works, but it’s about 50/50. Also, in Penny’s Challenge, the game shuts down when I win a challenge and the rewards are shown.
