L👀k into caulipower's eyes and pretend you're a chicken
Caulipower was one of the first premium plants i bought after goldbloom, imitator and power lily as i kept on losing so i looked at what the opposition had and it was caulipower.
I started winning a lot more after that but i haven't used him in a while because i now have about 130 plants that all do different things.
The best points scorer in arena is usually some form of blover strategy (free to play) but caulipower is still a very powerful plant, he hypnotises zombies so they are on your side so you get points for hypnotising them and any other zombies they kill, and most of the fighting is done in the high scoring zone.
I also like witch hazel (both enchantmint family).
If you are about to be overwhelmed then plantfood him and zombies will just fly off the lawm.
He does have drawbacks, expensive at low level and no matter how high you level him up his firing rate stays the same.

If you're on Android you can do surveys for Google opinion rewards which give you playstore credit towards an occasional new plant, not a lot but it adds up.
I would also suggest you just buy the basic plant as the bundles aren't good value imho.

Yes, avoid bundles whenever possible. The first plant I paid for was Gold Bloom and I also agree that Caulipower is very good to have for Arena and for many of the 'harder' Adventure Mode levels.
I have been using Google Opinion Rewards for over 9 month now and it has allowed me to 'buy' 4 plants during that time span that I would not have otherwise purchased. Rarely takes much time to complete a survey too.
