Completely unable to play arena

Every time I kill the first zombie the game just freezes until I force close it. I tried both on my iPad and my iPhone

Hello,

From yesterday, the new update of pvz2 mobile is open with Halloween event. But when I try to play the arena at 2min 46 the game freeze and so I lost my game.

Can someone help me please?

@Lambsy65 Same problem here since the new update: the game freezes in arena mode after a few seconds, every time.
I tried clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, downloading it on another Apple device => still freezes.
All other modes are fine, just the arena.
