Game reset and lost all my plants, coins and gems

My game reset totally when I updated my game a while back and I lost all of my plants, coins.  Can you help me get all of this back?  I am totally frustrated and am ready to quit the game if I have to start over like this!  I would appreciate any assistance you can give me.  Thanks in advance!
