I have had a few 13Ms but best I could get was 13.1.
I think @MAGICDAVESHROOM 's strategy is much better as I saw @PowerToss breaks 13.7M with his level 5 plants.

I am a lazy person that doesn't vary my strat....I have to say I have broke a few 13 million by using the starfruit and peavine strat that big shroom showcase some time ago...it worked beautifully for me and i have to say was a really good use of starfruit 🙂

The highest I have managed so far
@Perfume-shroom92 That is a very good score for mid level plants.
I only managed to break 6M with my high level (level 8) profile
We work this out by the total points of 6 plants. (not perfect, but it was better than not having a rough guide)
Level 1 = 6 points.
Low level = 7 to 29
Mid level = 30 to 41
High level = 42 to 59
Max level = 60 or more
Mastery = M1 - M200

It will not be long now, once you get a full set of level 7 plants (6x7=42), you will be entering the realm of (dizzy?) high levels. (where with each increase in level will require a lots of efforts to acquire seed packages)
The highest I can get is 6.1 million with BB, pokra, spearmint, SV and peavine (level 6)...the rest being level 7.... anyone have got a better strat?
@Perfume-shroom92 Well done for getting over 6M as this is already way above the average, TheMaruMari uses the same strategy and got close to 8M (possibly with a very good RNG)
I used the same strat. This was my best.
I have done 10 games and my best is still under 7M.

@linuxPigPen Wait for 15 seconds to start the game for an initial burst of sun from the thee sun vines, starting planting boosted Torchwood on the middle lane of column 4 and then fill up a whole column while getting more suns by planting the sun vines on column 3, Keep dropping imp pears on columns 6,7 and 8 but make sure that none get crushed by the cardio zombie or the big gargs. Keep filling up the pea vines with Sticky bomb rice and whenever you have time to spare, dig up imp pears to make more space for planting new ones.
EDIT: I've forgotten to add that after I have 5 sun vines on column 3, I also dug up the sun vines on column 5 and make space available for dropping imp pears. I leave all three plant foods for the last 30 seconds, one is for killing the last cardio (by boosting the pea vine on column 1 lane 3) and the other 2 on imp pear for transforming the high ZDL (tough) zombies and big gargs.
Last but not least, pray for a good RNG. Good luck.
