Hostage to Ads

I purchased this games years ago, and have suffered through all the changes. I will from time to time purchase a new plant or plant upgrade. However, the changes I see this morning are hideous. I will not be held hostage for your stupid greedy ads. Watching an ad for coins and/or gems is a different story. I think today is the last time I will play your game.  I hope others join me in this outrage.

I fully agree. The whole reason I bought a plant from the shop was to stop getting the intrusive ads but now ea has gone back on their word and scammed me.

  • Yes.   I paid for the game and have spent a modest amount of money on 5his game over about 10 year.  Today I deleted the game.  I’m done. I am not paying to remove ads from a game I paid for.    Goodbye PVZ2.

  • The moment when I had downloaded the update for PvZ2 on that one late of night, and saw the fact it added the ability to pay to start removing ads, I knew someone on the EA Forums was going to complain and make a post about this. So far, I haven't personally encountered any ads myself when I had purchased a lot of premium plants from many years ago. And I will report back here if I do somehow.

I mean, the fact that you had to pay $5.99 for no ads EVERY 30 DAYS is a big red flag. (Not to also mention that the patch notes did not even tell you about this feature even being added in at all in the first place.)

  • I had just gotten an ad after I have completed a Piñata Party level. I have been playing PvZ2 mostly for Thymed Events, so it looks like game won't really show you ads when you play on Thymed Events which is weird lol.
