Google play should do this automatically, pvz2 is constantly updating and downloading data from EA's backup servers hidden in their secret hEAdquarters on the Planet Uranus.
However, the smarter players know from bitter experience that unexpected data loss can happen to any player without warning and there are two things that should be done by ALL players to ensure getting their accounts back.
Firstly, sign up to EA's email registration scheme, if you did then you can get a unique code sent to your email address that recovers your missing account data from the backup servers.
Secondly, you MUST write down or screenshot your player id number, this is vital in any dEAlings with EA HELP CENTER, should the worst thing happen and your gamedata gets lost, they can recover your account from their servers but they can't/won't help anyone without the correct player id number and a new, different one is issued should your gamedata is lost.
Unfortunately, EA/popcap does not tell players this and many players have lost years of progress and money spent on the game.
Well yes, I can see my achievements in the Google Play at the controller sign button but- my progress is at the Google Play and I don't know or forgot how to do it- and I don't I think I've signed it EA account but only Google Play...
