Is Plants vs Zombies Heroes down?

I'm assuming Plants vs Zombies Heroes (the name in the "About" section in the game on my cell phone) is the same as Plants vs Zombies 2 (this forum).

Since yesterday, the game starts up, but when I try to play it says "Please check internet connection and try again"

As it so happens, I was migrating to a new iPhone today.  On the new iPhone, the game downloaded lots of content (with a few hiccups), and it seems to start up fine, but when I try to play, I get the same "Please check internet connection" error.

Are there any server problems?
