Lost all my progress - who to contact?

Yesterday I lost access to all my Plants vs Zombies 2 progress, which I have grinded for years. I guess this must have happened as a result of the ongoing update problem for Arena and Penny's Pursuit because I was playing the game and as I tried to update the Arena I got stuck in the loop, just like the many players that reported the problem on this forum. However, when I restarted the game on my Android emulator, the game reset and started from scratch. I assumed I could resolve the problem by simply reinstalling the game and then choosing my old ID after the "Identity Conflict" message. However, my old ID was not there and now I cannot load my progress. The strangest thing is that when I go to Play Games app, I can see all my PvZ2 achievements.

This seems to be an issue that I can't resolve on my own. Does anyone know who I should contact to help me get my progress back?

If you signed up for EA's email registration scheme then you can get a unique code sent to your email address to restore your account from the backup servers.

    This takes about 5 minutes.

If you  have your player id number, you can contact EA HELP CENTER by tapping on help center at the bottom of this page.

Please note that EA can't/ won't restore an account without your player id number so please screenshot it and keep it safe.

If you have a new profile and can't get EA to recover your old one from the backup servers, they will add plants to your new startup account if you have proof of purchase from your purchase history.

  • I got my problem solved by contacting the EA directly through PvZ2 game. When in game, click on the wrench icon, then on "Help" and follow instructions.

  • I lost my progress when the new update came out for the collection event for the breakout challenges so I would like to get my progress back before the challenges end.

The link isn't there. Thanks for the effort though.

This was quite helpful.  I even did a chat with EA and all they did was send me to a bogus website that had something to do with playing z defunct game.  The info about registering your email address really helped.  The glitch in the game that caused all this still exists, but I got back most of my progress.  Thaks

The email registration scheme is a good idEA, but they need to tell everyone, especially new players, to sign up to it.

It can only help recover a lost account if it was signed up to before the account disappEAred.

EA HELP CENTER are the only people who can help fix problems because only they have administrative access and run the backup servers.
