Missing gems/coins

After completing levels I lose gems and coins. I luckily haven’t lost all of them like other reports I’ve seen. Regardless, the amount of coins and gems I should have at this point are not what I currently have. This issue plus others I’ve seen people have are making me not want to play the game at this point.
