my account got deleted
my account in pvz2 got deleted when i opened the game a few days ago, i heard some other people also lost their accounts. why is this happening?

This has been an ongoing problem for years, and EA don't seem particularly interested in fixing it.
The least they could do is to post a warning asking players to sign up to their email registration scheme and screenshot their player id numbers.
Unfortunately, probably because of corporate cost cutting, EA HELP CENTER service is now virtually non-existent as they seem to have replaced indian call centre with a poor quality A.I.
This is my standard advice, i got so fed up giving it i keep it in my clipboard so i can cut and paste it:
If you signed up for EA's email registration scheme then you can get a unique code sent to your email address to restore your account from the backup servers.
This takes about 5 minutes.
If you have your player id number, you can contact EA HELP CENTER by tapping on help center at the bottom of this page.
Please note that EA can't/ won't restore an account without your player id number so please screenshot it and keep it safe.
If you have a new profile and can't get EA to recover your old one from the backup servers, they will add plants to your new startup account if you have proof of purchase from your purchase history.
- @MAGICDAVESHROOM The registration has never worked for me. I've contacted EA Help and they have fixed it, but now the help page is down ☹️
This happened to me years ago. I ended up starting all over. Later I found my old Player ID and they were able to restore it. TBH, I think when I first registered, they emailed my ID to me.
Now, I keep a screenshot of my player ID. You can find that under Settings -> Build Version. It is a super long alphanumeric code.
Hopefully you will be able to find yours.
