Plants vs. Zombies 2 latest version runs too slowly on my android tablet...

I recently downloaded release 3.7.1 from google play and it runs too slow.

I would like to get release 3.6.1 but I can't find it.

I saw other places that offered the game but I am worried about downloading apps from other than the playstore.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.
