PVZ2 Tombastic Adventures

I’m experiencing a bug with the new event. When I hit the event tab it takes me to the “Daily Activities” screen, and I can’t exit; and the only way out is restarting the game. (I see the “enter event” button for a brief moment but can’t click before it switches to the inescapable Activity screen. Restarting the game doesn’t allow me into the event-same glitch happens) 

 I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game which worked-the event worked fine and I thought the problem was solved, but the next time I logged into the game the same glitch happened.

Here we are a week later and I’m still having the same issue as before. I can play the event when I delete and reinstall the game, but then at some point it freezes. (Also I can’t do piñatas at all, as others have said) 

Here’s a bit of information that may help fixing this problem: I started having problems with piñata after the most recent update which forced me to play through the tutorial until I could get back to my original ID.

Also, when I delete and reinstall, I get a message saying “there’s more than one (player?) associated with this ID” and I get to choose my ID

I have 80 Tombastic Adventures tokens and they won't let me play. I've restarted my phone and re-downloaded the app, but it still won't work. A "Play Time Ended" notification appears. Please provide a solution. Thank you.
