- @HypnoDjurre In both my devices, it still says on the background 'progress saved by playgames'...despite not being able to click and bring up the leaderboard and trophy, i am hypnotising myself to say that its still saved. Of course, I have the EA cloud too. If you don't have that, i would say get that maybe now.

me either that's what EA told me. they also replied and said they know about the issue. on Reddit a EA employee said they know about it to and are working on it.
I can still bring up Trophy and Leaderboard...this is starnge indeed
J7 gives me Progress Saved message but S7 just provides above feature

I think my devices are on different servers !!
all I do know is this sucks I'm having pvz2 withdraw... luckily a new idle game came out today I'm playing a lot since pvz2 is being dumb. if you like idle games try idle Mastermind.
It's across all devices and both games that I play. I made the mistake of uninstalling pvz2 from my phone yesterday and now everything is gone since it won't sync up to my user name. I haven't tried playing the other app after getting the same error message upon opening. I tried the work around but it didn't fix it.
I assume you're on Android so tap HELP CENTER at the bottom of the page and ask EA HELP to restore your account, you will have to provide them with your original player id number associated with your lost account.
That's what I did, they say it's been restored, but I can't get past this screen
When I enter my account name, it just starts the tutorial

try the Google Play button and maybe you get to choose the email address...and viola, your profile will be back !!
I'm still getting the popup problem message.
Do you get the option where it thinks you have two accounts, one with 4 plants and no resources and another with all your plants and resources and you have to select one?
Normally when i see that screen i select the correct one then i tap the white gamepad and my two google accounts pop up and i choose my main one and Google play loads my gamedata and my profiles appear.
If you tap the white gamepad see what happens, if nothing happens try tapping on the white cloud and doing a force sync (only try this if you set up EA's email registration scheme).
The final option is to contact EA HELP , give them your player id number associated with your missing account and ask them to restore it for you.
Tapping the Google Play gamepad does nothing, I sent in a ticket to EA Help, they restored my account but to no avail, the 2nd person said tot wait it out until Google sorts things out
Would suck a little that I lost progress from the last couple of days, already had 800 points in Arena, but oh we'll
Would suck more if I missed Snap Pea AGAIN, last time I also lost my account just when you could get seeds for it, took a week to restore

If you can get your hands on an apple device you should be able to play it on that.
@HypnoDjurreDid you ever register with EA cloud? Because when i am linking my 2nd device, it will bring me to this page, i type the exact same name but if i register the email onto EA cloud, it will ask me to choose the account and i was able to sync to my account right away with no problem. I think it did bring me to the tutorial initially, flick through it or try to exit it to the main screen. Because if you have EA cloud, it should be able to restore your account for you.

Yeah, if you have registered your email before you can simply relink it (a verification code is sent to the email), enter the code and I'm back in again
I'm getting so mad I am falling behind on the arena...I don't been able to play in 2 days now. they need to hurry up and fix this... I'm so upset for reals!!

I think I used the cloud where you force sync the game?? I've tried my account before I login to my name then click the Google play icon and it brings up my player id and I click it and it's restored but I can't even get that far because of this Google play services not working error! am I missing something,? I fear I'm in trouble now I've seem to lost my screen shot with my player I'd!! it's the only one I use on this phone and pvz2 hopefully they did this and I can get restored I'm so worried now lol
- @jeffypop1978 You don't have to use cloud to force sync the game. Did you lose your progress? I mean i also use google play but if you don't do anything with it, you will still be able to play the game...
