You are not alone, I too have the same experience. The game seemed to run normal after I power cycle (turning it off and then back on again) my phone. Maybe you can give this a try and see if this works for you also?

I tried it and it worked to begin with but when I changed profiles and then changed back it happened again
- @eieio_31310 Perhaps they have introduced too many quests and another festivus calendar and this is why this has happened.
Possibly, I hope this update is not required once per profile.....if so, I have another 10 to go 😬
Wow not quite so many for me ,I just hope it gets sorted as it’s costing rewards
