We haven't gotten any new costume for quite some time. There are a total of 270 costumes in the pool. If you wan't to calculate the probability that at least one costume you don't have yet gets pulled from the pool use this equation:
Probability in % = [ 1 - (270 - a) / 270 * (269 - a) / 269 ] * 100
where a is the number of costume that you don't have yet
For me the probability is 10.8% since I'm only missing 15 costume from the pool...so I need to get lucky.

They are repeating but sometimes they swap coins for gems and vice versa.

It's not like they would swap coins for gems. It's just that some costumes are in the pool twice for different prices. Euphoric-Seaweed posted a table and according to that the following costumes can have different prices...depending on which item was pulled from the pool:

@MAGICDAVESHROOM you should really get Missile Toe. It's a very cute plant that has two costumes: A blue scarf and a red bow.

@Perfume-shroom92 A picture paints a thousand words, I think the image below should help @PowerToss to understand the etiquette of pink tutu dressing. I will leave it for you all to imagine what happens if the pink tutu was dressed up a little bit too high.... 👿
