They also no longer support older android devices also, i have an old galaxy s2 mini running 4.4.2 kitkat (i love cake based operating systems) that could just about handle pvz2.
Since the last update it won't run and i don't have the option to go back to an earlier version.

@BigBlueCollectivProbably out of luck as even Apple stopped supporting that system in 2016. I just looked that up on Google.
If you have access to a pc you can download an emulator such as bluestacks and play pvz2 on your pc with a mouse, which is a bit weird.
You can even use your old account.
