Re: Lost My Account

@nycbravado

Did you sign up to EA's email registration scheme?

If you did then you can get a code sent to your email address to restore your old account.

Is pvz2 on an old device?

If it is, then try disconnecting it from the internet and access the old version and screenshot your old player id number.

Unfortunately, EA can't/won't recover lost accounts without the correct player id number and are too stupid to tell players to keep this all important information safe.

If you haven't signed up to EA's email registration scheme or have the correct player id number, then the only thing that you can do is contact EA help and provide them with screenshots of your purchase history and any proof of plant levels so they can add them to your new account.

@MAGICDAVESHROOM Email registration scheme? What’s that?? I mean I have a few screeenshots of levels that I played, but my old phone died for some reason and I got it to my new phone but I dont know how I lost the account. However I did purchase many plants on PVZ2 as well as purchased gems.

The email registration scheme was introduced a few years back after an update went spectacularly wrong worldwide.

You tapped on the cloud on the loading screen, registered your email address and should your account disappear then you can get a unique code sent to your registered email address that would restore your account from their backup servers, takes a few minutes.

Those players that signed up for it were given 100 gems.

This takes the pressure off the help center.

See I did that once before. Earlier this year, and all of a sudden, I do it again I don’t see my main account. Just two other accounts I don’t know how they came to be.

You old account has disappeared and the game offers you a choice between either your old account and a new account or two new accounts, the new accounts all have new player id numbers and just contain 4 starting plants and no resources.

This happens on a regular basis, somebody's account will simply disappear for no apparent reason.

That is completely insane. So my account is essentially gone?

Unless you can get the player id number associated with your missing account, I'm afraid so.

This has been happening for years, just check the forums for posts similar to yours.

@nycbravado   Just in case the worst happens and you cannot find out your original player ID, as the last resort, you can still claim back the premium plants you have paid with cash onto your new account if you wish. You just need to open a 'missing content' case with EA help center and providing the purchase receipts to the advisor so he or she can credit your new account with the premium plants.  Of course, the ideal situation is you get your old device startup and find out out your original player ID and have all your game save progress recovered.

I’m really trying to get my old phone to work, the screen is dead, and when I plug it into my computer, it’ll make a noise but it won’t go on. This really is trash.
