I am not sure whether you are aware there is a limit of ads for earning gems and coins.

For gems, there are 3x and for coins, there are 5x*

The limit of 5x coin ads was discovered with this new update, before this, it was no limit for coins ads.

@eieio_31310  No, I wasn't aware. Too bad things changed. I liked having unlimited opportunities to earn coins. I was able to upgrade my plants in my almanac, buy seed packets, etc from the store and buy power ups to help me pass some of the quests all in the same day.

Thanks, I was not aware. Plus I just noticed I am now forced to watch ads in between adventure levels and in Penny’s Pursuit for ZERO rewards. Is this the worst update ever? Is there anything you know of in the update that is positive for the players?

The topic of this new discovery has been discussed in the Latest Update thread, please bear in mind this 'free-to-play' game is still a business, it makes money (to pay for the creative minds) not only by selling the luxury in game premium resources to players, but earns an income from ads too.  

As for the upside, this earning brings a support, however limit it maybe, it allows the game to continue over 8 years and still growing, both for the new plant selection, new game modes and of course, new bugs.

With vested interest, I do hope the limit of 2500 coins of 5x ads per day is introduced as an error and NOT intentional, but seeing the new offer of coins for $$$, I am not too optimistic. 

I appreciate their need to make money, and I have paid a moderate amount of USD to them over the years. The thousands of ads that I have watched have also contributed to their revenue, but at least that felt like a win-win. This feels much more like greed on their part, and if it stands, I will likely walk away from the game. The new game modes I appreciate, the new plants not as much. Let's face it, there are way too many plants and MANY that you never use and yet still get seed packets for, still need coins to level-up etc. which I can no longer afford. Unless they are also planning to make the leveling up cost fewer coins(?)  I suppose I could choose not to purchase the daily packets for certain plants, but that's not fun.  I already deal with this with the perfume-shroom packets I am constantly offered or "rewarded" - they are useless to me as that plant is maxed out. Would be nice if the creative minds could fix that🙂

Since they earn an income from the ads, wouldn't it make sense to not have a limit on how many ads we can watch to earn coins. I'm ok with the limit on ads we can watch for diamonds since I use coins a lot more. I have a greater need for the coins. I liked being able to earn enough coins to upgrade my plants in my almanac, purchase seed packets and sometimes costumes from the store, and also purchase power ups to help me pass some of the quests all in the same day.

@mimi46253229   No worries, being a long time player myself, I understand your frustration and anger.  

For someone who have had freedom of unlimited coins earning to become restrictive to a a relatively small number of 5x, honestly, to be feeling mad is normal, but to be sad is unwise.  It is a game after all, game is meant to be enjoyed, and if you find the game makes you depressed, then it is time to put it down and start looking for something more interesting.. 

That escalated quickly LOL. Frustration, anger, mad, sad, depressed? I don't think I expressed all that. All is good here! PVZ2 is not my actual life🙂

Thanks for letting us know about what you've been running into, apologies in the delay of communication. I wanted to confirm if everyone was still running into this issue? 

If so can you confirm the following? 

- Do you have targeted or EA in-game advertising enabled or disabled?

- Do you watch ads every day?

- Do you not see the option to watch ads or are they currently not loading?

Also if you would be able to share a screenshot and the device OS you're using.

@EA_Illium  Thanks for replying. Yes, I have targeted/EA in-game advertising enabled. Yes, I watch ads everyday to get gems, coins, gauntlets, etc when they are available. No, I do not always see the option to watch ads. Also, I sometimes get booted from the game while in the middle of watching some of the available ads.

Thanks for reaching out regarding the lack of ads to run for coins on PvZ. I get five ads per day to run for 500 coins each. That's all, no more after that.

I am currently using IOS 14.8.1 on my tablet.

I do have EA in-game advertising enabled.

I do watch the five ads that I get, each day, for coins. I also run the three ads for gems, and the three or four ads for gauntlets each day.

I am including a screen shot of the page which shows no ads to run.

Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
