Anyone considered uninstalling then reinstalling sa app?been thinking of it foe a while now..

Please DO NOT uninstall your game as this will not solve the problem.

The problem from what I can guess is that the update is not appearing as available on some regional servers, please wait a day or two as this has been the duration needed from past experiences.  If you start to mess around with reinstalling, there are a few disadvantages I think you need to aware, one is that you will be treated by the system as a new player after re-installation and you will only have the starter's offers from the shop, the second is that game save progress might be recovered wrongly and you will need to contact EA and wait for the advisors' help.

I hope the workaround (of entering Arena/Penys via the main menu) is working for you and will last until update is available, currently I have seen no replies from the devs both on subreddit and here.

I will keep checking and if there is any further news, I will post it here and share this with you.

I cant even access arena on the main menu..so thats that..ill try your advice mate..ill wait a day or two and see what happens then..

How can one access the arena from the main menu? Can you please post a screenshot?

It's still not showing up as an available update on the server for me, I'll keep waiting. But maybe the current tournament could be extended to allow players still get the current plant, I believe it's only a few days remaining so it's cutting it short at this stage.

That's not coming up for me, I only get two screens on that page and nothing else.

How to join arena via main menu? I can only do this when i have daily quest.... I spend real money for this game and now I will probalby lose my position in arena I feel a litle upset 😠

9.9.x release is now confirmed to be live by the PVZ2 team from subreddit.

I hope the update should now be available from Google Play Store for all Android players and if you still experiencing issues or have an opinion about the changes, please make yourself heard on the link below.

I managed to get into the Arena and the Penny pursuit last night by accessing the links from the Daily Tasks. It worked perfectly.

I'll try now see if the update is showing up for me

Managed to access the Arena and the Penny pursuit last night from the Daily Tasks - Play a Penny Pursuit level - Play an Arena match.

Just tried now and the update is still not showing up for me in the PlayStore. I'll keep checking 😉

In a sadistic way, I think it will, the incompetent PopCap devs team who might have caused all this update problem (to Android users) might be laughing louder...

Treating customer like this is not how a businesses should run, I do sometimes wonder if there is any EA share holder aware about this?

I had the same problem as all of you with the Penny pursuit and Arena update. Initially I waited 3 days and nothing was solved. So I went for help. On reddit, a guy said that uninstalling and reinstalling PVZ2 would work. So I did that. To safeguard any kind of problem recovering my account, I registered it with my email and took screenshot of my player ID. And then I uninstalled and reinstalled the game.
However, I can't recover my account at all. I have tried to synchronise the data, with the email with which I had registered the account, and I have also tried through my google Play account, by clicking on the game control icon in the bottom right corner of the game homepage. But nothing works, apparently there must have been some error when I registered the account.

Unfortunately, I only found this forum now. So I only now realised that I should never have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, as it wasn't going to work anyway.
But now I'm having this huge problem and nothing that's supposed to work works.
What should I do now? Contact EA? And if so, how?

Please help me, I've been playing this game since 2013 and now after all these years losing the only account I've ever played in and invested so much time in is very frustrating

One of the reason I keep telling players not to mess about with reinstallation is that I have seen many horror stories like you have experienced, luckily, you have noted down your original player's ID...  

Please click the Help Center link at the bottom of this page and open 'Missing Content' case, you will need to provide your player ID so the advisor can help to locate and recover your account from the back up.  This might take them up to a few days but please be persistent and patient, rest assure if you have not manually overwrite your account with a new data, the chance to have it recovered is pretty high, all that you will be losing is a few days game play and normal shop offer (as you will be seen as a new starter and only receive such shop offers)
