Re: Sharing your Battlez experiences

My take on this past week's tournament.

The zombies came out very random this week sometimes no Kings  appeared and no helmet zombies other times you get 2 or 3 kings and in some cases even 5 kings. Playing defense mode got you great score for up to 7 mil but if no kings or helmet zombies came out then I would only score 40-80K.

Playing offense I would score 700K - 3 mil which is actually more stable for getting a better streak . Currently leading the gold league buy 100 crowns I will keep a eye on the guy in second place the number 3 is down 300 crowns. For the guys that scored over 10 and 20 mil good going.

@badbee34  A valid point, a win with low score is still being counted as a win and a lost with a high score is still being counted as a lost. 

Do you mind share with us your plant selection and setup for a more stable strategy please?

No problem my plants are not high level but I try do the best with them. Here is my offense setup I still use the infinite nut and magnet shroom because it can get a extra few points and help protect my plants.

Thanks for the insight, I like your plant selection & the offensive setup. 

I succeed to do my best score, 3m7 for the last game of this week tournament 🥳

Kinda sad, does not look like that 3rd and 4th are trying to sneek in higher rank in the last hour, it's always fun to watch that ☹️

For next tournament for thoses who have been on Jade League when it happened before, do the top 3 players usually have more crowns when the Battlez game last 1m30 instead of 3min or is it kinda always the same amount of crowns ?

It all depends how active the players in your group are.... You can win a jade league with 400 crowns or you can end up no 4 with 800 crowns . Regardless of 3:00 or 1:30 , but in the last 1 or 2 hours you can blow a lot of gauntlets if you racing for no 1 if the match is 1:30

Hum yes that what I'm afraid of.
I like to have 200 or more points than the 2nd so I know that even if he tries to take my 1st place at the end of the tournament, I would have things totally under control.
But with shorter games, than could be trickier..
Well I'll see how it goes.

So... I also have been burned the last 4 or so tournaments by the flurry of people setting their alarm clocks in order to do a last 2-3 hour gauntlet race to the finish and hoping to sneak-by. A couple tournaments ago, I even was just observing the list to watch them trying to knock each other out near the end.

In any case, THIS TIME I made sure to leave enough of a lead so that I could comfortably go to sleep, and DISCOURAGE any competitor from even attempting to pull that stunt again. Seems it worked, (ahah)!

That’s me yesterday. I raced with the 1st one and scored ~ 200 crowns in the last 2 hrs and still finished in 2nd place. I lead almost all the week, but in the afternoon I was busy to check my scores, two other players passed me and I could only claime back the 2nd place. So watch out your rank carefully in the last day in Jade League.

Hands down this week's Battlez experience is the worst one yet.

I've been playing for about 2 hours now and really don't care much for it.

Half the field is filled with the size increasing formula...and then it takes almost 30 seconds for anything to really happen.

That just leaves about a minute of competition, and if you fall behind, there's little chance to catch up if you fall way behind.

I've already got 200 crowns and i found a good combo that usually works for me, except for every 9th and 10th which i mysteriously seem to lose. I think i might be having another of those weeks (toadstool and apple mortar) where i win except for the 9th,10th or 11th. Unless i pay the gem tax to continue my streak. I came 1st in jade last week with 598 crowns but this week i think i won't bother as I'm up against 2 very competitive players.

I was playing my 9th game.

248k vs 68k at 26s from the end
429k vs 294k 8s from the end
And of course
468k vs 562k at the end
My opponent won made 294 in 1min22 and 268k in the last 8s, sure... I don't see how you can do that much in such amount of time, even with plant food and ppm
Plus he was using double cauli, ppm, exploding nut and gold bloom lvl 6-7

Wasn't your 9th or 10th streak match by any chance? Of course it was. The 9th gets harder, you usually lose the 10 and definitely lose the 11th (unless you pay the gem"tax"). KER-CHINGGGG!!!!!

The 9th streak breaker is getting on my nerves also. Every game I would score 800k to 1.1 mil then on the 9th one I would miraculously score only 450-580K and loose to someone which score 500-600K every time. The sad thing is I won't mind loosing if the players are getting high scores than mine but the highest opponent score I have seen is 720K that's no where near my average score. It's if there is less zombies coming out . 

To answer the other dude about the score jumping up in last few seconds it's normal for me to make over 400K in last 10 or 12 seconds

The opponent had no bombardmint and even if pf was used with ppm, there is no way to make 400k in 8s, it would make lot of damage for sure but it would need A LOT of zombies to be there.
Or destroying 2-3 different waves of zombies with ppm..in 8s.

I agree but in this tournament it is possible the score per zombie goes through the roof in last few seconds. Taking screenshots distracted me a bit but still scored a lot in last few seconds. 

Here is combo without using premium plants that can also land you a fairly good score.for start up place the 2 rows of sunflowers then fill up the rest of the board with ppm's . Then start building up power tiles using squash and the purple flower to slow down and kill some zombies , if you see the mad cow then use your one free lawn mower to kill it before it charge. After you have 4 power tiles on ppm use your first power leaf on 20 seconds leaf on 14 seconds left on 8 seconds and enjoy the high score without premium plants.

Excellent, but i have a couple of suggestions. Firstly use moonflower and you will get more tile turnips and if the mad cow appears and looks dangerous deploy your containmint to stun everything for 4 seconds. I was using 2x caulipower, electric blueberry, moonflower and primal potato mine which gives me a similar score but i didn't realize EA had nerfed caulipower to curtail it's mightyness.

@badbee34 I do think it is possible with tile turnip, ppm and plant food, you can have 12 or more ppm and do lot of damage.
But my opponent had no tile turnip so 400k with just plant food seems more difficult...
