What happens to getting rewards in win streaks, etc?

We’ve revamped the win streak where  each time you complete 7 successful wins in a row, the streak resets. Rewards in 7 win streak slots have been increased to account for the update, and the overall cost to retain your win-streak has also been decreased. And you can still of course earn rewards at the end of each weekly tournament, per normal.

    @EA_Blueberry The new rewards are minuscule compared to the ones I had before. And that wouldn’t be a problem if I hadn’t paid through the nose to be able to get them!

    Before the update, I was getting rewards in a cycle that would give 100 mints, or 120 piñatas, and many gauntlets and gold. I was getting x10 in all of them because I had reached a streak of more that 1200! And I was paying with 250 diamonds (=€15,3) to maintain and increase that streak. 

    After the update, I’m barely getting 7 piñatas. This is FIFTEEN TIMES LESS from what I had paid to obtain before! Yes, I’m paying with less diamonds (20) to maintain my small streak, but so does the guy who didn’t use to have a huge and expensive streak like mine!

    My “goal” in your game was to eventually max the level of all my plants. And for that reason I had paid lots of €15,3s to be able to get bigger rewards so that I eventually manage to do it. 

    Your game was “selling” to me the idea that the streak was important to maintain, and I was buying that. Your update robbed me of all that money that the game was incentivizing me to pay!

    And the worst thing is that your update robbed me of the interest to play the game anymore. Why on earth would I suffice to maximum rewards of merely 70 seeds, when each of the 120+ plants needs THOUSANDS of seeds to max? It would take a lifetime to max them! (Literally)

    EA must return back the streaks to the players who had paid so much to maintain them. All streaks must return to the number they were before EA made the announcement that they would reset them. Many players chose to stop maintaining them after that announcement. And they were right because the streaks were reset anyway.

    Repeating Streak to 7 still being claimed by EA as a bug.  I replied them back saying I dont think this is a bug but a game plan but still they are emphasizing it is a bug... i even told them if this is a game plan they should just tell me in the first place so we dont get false hope. Either way, world will still spin and my life continues...

    Anthony, you're not the only one affected as of now -- We're on it! We want to get this fixed as swiftly as possible as we know how frustrating it is to not receive the content.

    The good news is we are actively working on investigating this for everyone that is affected. As of this moment, due to the unforeseen nature of this, I don't have an estimated time or specifics for a fix.

    I have, however, logged your case as such for an occurrence of this.

    For now, there is currently no workaround I can suggest. In the meantime, we will continue working hard behind the scenes to identify, fix and release a potential address for this issue.
    Do not be alarmed when reading this email that the case will be closed for now. We most certainly have not forgotten about you, we simply require a little more time to deal with this issue.

    I know you may be eager for updates (as would I) so for that please keep an eye on our forums and social media going forward.

    This is to recap, we've asked for your patience until our concerned team finish their investigation and find a fix.

    I hope you can understand this.


    By the way, for previous question where i get reply, this is via email. I opened ticket via EA.com to report bugs and suggestions..

  • I dont know why someone claim that they are still investigating my issue (repeating streak) if this is a game plan. Maybe im talking to a simulated EA customer service????? See my follow up reply yesterday before i got above response few hours ago.


    Based on logic and reasoning, I dont think this is a bug.. You should have just told me the truth in the first place that it’s intentional and game plan.  Beside, what could I do if I dont like it? Either stop playing or enjoy the changes... This is just a free game (not entirely)and if you chose to change, there is basically nothing we could do but to suck it up, right? It just annoying waiting and having a false hope from you guys.  Either way, im ok with the new game plan.. again, whether I like it or not, I just suck it up 🙂

    I believe you, but what is annoying is EA customer service still claiming they are working on this case... as if they still havent been informed yet.

    Our development team is already aware of this issue and they are still investigating the cause of the issues. They are working to address it as soon as humanly possible, However, we don't have an estimated time of resolution right now. Possibly related to multiple devices.

    What info? I know that your technical team is working diligently.. what we are confuse about is why in EA forum, they claimed the streak reset is part of the game, yet you are still considering this as a bug ... is it a game plan or reset streak is not supposed to happen? Because if you are claiming they will fix it, you are giving us something to wait for (but hopefully real one)

    We just need to know if reseting 7 streak is how it supposed to happen so we can move on

    as you can see, they dont have concrete answer, but I will just assume this is by design.. its still annoying because it seems like EA customer service doesnt know what’s going on.. SMH
