Hi all am in Canberra Australia and the app won’t open on either my iPad or phone. I have done all restarts including deleting and re-downloading but nothing has helped. any info appreciated

This is most likely related to a Facebook SDK bug and all iOS users are affected. Apps like Spotify don't work either. The last time it happen was in May. You can read about it here: https://9to5mac.com/2020/05/06/psa-facebook-sdk-bug-causing-several-popular-apps-to-crash-right-now/
You should still be able to open PvZ2 with WiFi/3G turned off. The last time this happened it was fixed within a couple of hours.
You’re right, my app does work when I turn off my wifi. Thank you PowerToss for sharing your knowledge.
