What happened to PvZ3?

Question

We fans of the Plants vs Zombies franchise were expecting to receive a new beta of Plants vs Zombies 3 in the coming weeks (as it happened in the past months) but we were surprised with the game being tagged as "zzSUNSET" which means the game has been removed from Google Play.

Does this mean we won't have a new beta? Was Plants vs Zombies 3 cancelled? Is it still in development?

As far as i understand it, from the announcement, i think they were giving us a taste on what pvz 3 would give us and then after few moments they pull the game back and banish it from service and try to develop more and so on and release them back again later on when its finally fully ready, but im not sure since its been almost 3 years and we didnt have anything new now?&nbsp;
