[Feedback] PVZ 3 In-game Mechanics
I think that PVZ 3 actually has many qualities that I love about the original. The game is very charming and it looks like something even my mom would be interested in. The music is GREAT and some of the levels present some really good challenges and ideas. The gardenscapes type story is also something I like. But I think that's about where the positives end. The game is far too restrictive and the "power up economy" is truly awful. Around level 76 the game becomes heavily reliant on power ups, or should I say the player does. This combined with the short levels, lives, and preset plants creates a very unpleasant experience. I don't care how generous or ungenerous the game is with free power ups, the experience should be in the hands of the player, not the game systems that decide what is earned and how much power ups should cost.
In conclusion I believe that this is the worst type of game, because it is true delight at the best of times, but you are at the mercy of revenue systems that are designed to take advantage of people. My mother loved the first PVZ and the thought of this game taking advantage of those like her makes me sick.
