Ideas, improvements, solutions and feedback to improve PvZ3
Greetings from Neighborville botanists, it's me, Hack Fuegos, faithful resident and official gardener against Zomboss and his hordes, and this time I come on behalf of some friends of mine, just like me, who are fans of this new installment. Known as "The PvZ3 Defenders Team", we come today to give you our suggestions and opinions about the neighborhood, so you can continue building this great suburb on the right path.
Together with my friends, we have gathered some elements and critiques that we would like to see implemented in PvZ3. We understand that not all of our opinions will be added to the game, and we know that your work is not 100% compliant with ALL of our requirements, however, we would be very happy to see some of our ideas in the future.
Some of our ideas for implementation into the game are:
1 - Simple animations for plant power-ups: we would like these powerful friends to have a little animation once they are dragged into the field and before they are planted, as this will make them look more elegant and sophisticated.
2 - Blover: we feel that the function of this power-up is a bit simple and can go unnoticed, so we think that it could be activated manually, keeping its ability; however, its coin cost could be increased to balance its power.
3 - In-game music: my team and I love their music tracks, and we understand that making these tracks can be quite difficult (even more original tracks), but still, we would like to suggest that each area in the future have its own theme. This problem has been occurring since the lack of a theme for Begonia Boulevard, and for this reason we suggest that you could use the music that was composed for the Ballpark Frank Miniboss battle, as this theme would fit very well with this stage. Another thing to highlight in this section would be that, for the night levels, remixes of the original daytime songs could be composed, so these levels would have a great difference with their counterparts. And something else to highlight in this section would be the ambient sounds, the ones in the night levels are the same. For this, other types of sounds could be used, such as nocturnal animals.
4 - New game modes: During our time in PvZ3 we noticed that there are no other game modes apart from Vasebreaker (which by the way needs some fixing, as it gets too easy), and my team and I suggested that they could add a game mode that came with Vasebreaker, I' Zombie. Without a doubt this would be an excellent game mode to implement, and this way you will be able to alternate levels between these two game modes on a daily basis. In the future they could add more game modes.
5 - Multiplayer: We understand that making a competitive online game mode can be quite difficult, and here we would like to suggest that they could be based on the Arena mode of PvZ2, with the exception that players would compete in real time, getting the most points to beat their rival. So along with this, they could add the old clan system, where players can join together to chat, share power-ups and resources.
6 - Almanac: This element has been part of all PvZ games, something very classic that should be recovered in this game. Here we could learn more about the plants and zombies that we would find on our journey, besides being a good pastime.
7 - Zen Garden: another classic that, once implemented in the game, would serve to obtain good rewards, besides being another entertainment for our neighbors.
8 - Incorrect translations: One of the biggest drawbacks of this new game is its translations into Spanish, since my team and I are Spanish speakers. We know that there are two types of Spanish, North American/Latin American Spanish and Spanish from Spain, however, the vast majority of players are from the American region, and because of this we have encountered the inconvenience of some terrible translations. An example would be the translation of Peashooter, which in North American would be Chicharito. My team and I asked that, if possible, those names be changed. Here is the list to make your job easier:
Lanzaguisantes
Apisonaflor
Nuez
Seta solar
Hielaguisantes
As you can see, these names are the ones used in Spanish from Spain, and we wish that North American Spanish would also use them.
9 - Battle against Zomboss: the idea of this is that, once you pass the zone you can have a battle against Dr. Zomboss in the last level, as this is something very special to the PvZ installments.
Some other suggestions are in my previous communication, so if you like, you can take the time to review it, since the Community Manager has already sent it to you.
We really appreciate that you listen to us as a community, as it is a very important step to greatly improve PvZ3. My team and I only want the best for this new release, and we will continue playing and supporting you here. Thank you very much for your time, and we hope you listen to our suggestions and ideas. Without further ado, keep planting, because the zombies are coming for us.
Sincerely, The PvZ3 Defenders Team
