2 Computers, same errors since GW1, shame on you EA.

I'm from Germany so if you find grammar issues you can keep them :D

Okay i am really dissapointed EA/Popcap.

I buyed GW2 because the first Game was awsome and i HOPED that you fixed the Problem with 2 Origin Accounts/Players from the same connection...

but no, instead it seems that you just ignored it and used EXACTLY the same connection setup you used in GW1 (biggest facepalm).

What happens: (a well known Problem from GW1)

- 2 Players from 2 Computers log into the Multiplayer

Result 1: 1 Gets kicked 1 can Play

Reslut 2: Both get kicked

Result 3 (if in Group): Unable to connect to Session ERRORMESSAGE

Result 4 (if not in Group but 1 Player allready played a few Minutes): PLayer who allready played gets asskicked out of game without a Message exact the same Moment the other Player tries to join his/her Game.

Very helpfull solves from EA and forums (NOT xD):

EDIT1:

YES i also deactived my Firewall completly AND i also did not deactivate my Antivirus, i freaking UNINSTALLED it while hoping it would may work.

Open Ports (NO RESULTS)

Upnp (holy * who the * is still using Upnp, thats a gigantic freaking security hole technique from 1990....... well also NO RESULTS, and by the way most german Internetproviders do not even install it on their Routers BECAUSE of WELL KNOWN security Problems, and i think errrr 90% of world wide Games and Publishers also do not use this any longer ..... EA please D: !!!! )

Service canceling ..... yes lets * up some of those things in the Services.msg of windows just get this game running.... tried it.... (NO RESULTS)

Editing Game Values inside Origin to explain this dumb game that these are 2 different accounts with 2 different copies ...... (NO RESULTS)

Setting STATIC IPS (at that point i allready crushed my skull while ramming my head into my desk) i mean COMEON this game can't support dynamic IPs and DNS in the year 2016, what the heck is wrong with you EA. ANYWAY NO RESULTS

Also if i set static IPs in my homenetwork, some things wich need dynamic IPs get crushed xD soooooo bad idea as a long time solve, not talking about that it did not work ...... ☹️

And at last ..... 1 person enter internet over proxy 1 person over normal connection ........ and it works but the proxy person has a ping over 9000 xD.

And now its your tuirn Forums and EA, you have 18 h to present me a solve, otherwise i gonna destro...... ehm refund these DVDs in my Backya..... ehm local store xD

I LOVE THIS GAME AND I WANT TO PLAY IT WITH MY NEIGHBOUR AND MY WIFE BUT I CANT !

this is not an isult over all, take it more as an slightly angry cry for help or patches.

allready got my refund 1 h ago.

thx for your information, but to be honest thats alot work for just 1 game.

i mean, all modern games support dynamic network systems accept this one here (and battlefield if i got that right lol)

this could be fixed very easy when EA would start working close together with MS.

They publish the game on xbox (and that system is PUSBLISHED BY MS) but they are unable to fix those problems on a microsoft system .... that really gives me headache.

i wont buy any EA games in the future any longer untill i have a safe proove inb4 that the game will have no bigger multiplayer issues.

i can download stuff like PoE, league and any title of Blizzard and have NO problems with them. not a single one related to going online with 2 computers at the same time.

But this is now the 4th EA Game i have the same Problem with.

    Thats just unacceptable.

You posted this at Answer HQ, and "EA" isn't here as an entity, sorry.  A representative of Popcap,  Jenni, is here often, but THIS website is for the community of game players to discuss EA games on, and exchange Self-Help suggestions with each other.  EA has regular forums of the more usual nature elsewhere.

For feedback to anyone at EA, the "channels" from our few CMs require one of them to have time to notice your comments and forward it up the indirect path.  On the other hand, EA's OWN forums, which the author of that erroneous advice mixed up with us, does have the repute of being where some developer types occasionally visit.  We've not yet ever had that presence revealed here.

IMO, your message thread has been solved.

I typed up a long message about our setup and how it works but decided to not post it as it wouldn't be of use to you.

PFsense firewall (as our router; it's a distro of freeBSD) is what we use.  If you google it in combination of "multiple consoles" (yes I know you don't have multiple consoles but it's really the same difference for these PC games) and Static Ports, that's how we do it.

You mentioned a proxy works but it's terrible latency.  Perhaps a gaming VPN would work better like WTFast.com

    https://wtfast.zendesk.com/entries/25122932-What-if-my-game-is-not-on-the-Supported-Games-List-

I do not know if it is optimized for German users or not.  I've personally never used it but have only heard great things.  I have used alternatives to this to play on asian servers for some games and it greatly reduced my latency.

On BF4 you can force it to a port using +clientport ### in the AppExePath in the registry

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > GameUX > Games >

(click around until you find the one)

I think I suggested that a few times for people that couldn't get it working with their routers but I don't think I ever got confirmation if it worked for PvZ1 or not.

uPnP would be disabled in this instance.
