So is there a place to get the devs input on this? Have they said a word about it by chance? Like how long its going to last? Why they did it? Their goal with doing it? Ive done a bit of looking and cant find a peep anywhere but this thread.
It’s just not as chaotic, which was much more fun to be honest, and I wasn’t really experiencing much lag beforehand

@Ninja2Blade Neither did I. But many players were not able to play due to lags.
The game mode as is will need MONTHS to fix. Possibly a year or more. About the ttk and 8v8 is basically quick kills with the main weapons are prominent. People are complaining about variants? Why? Soldier with his main blaster is dominant. Are you to tell me this is intended? Lol. Why bother with abilities if you're only going to use them to position yourself with your main weapons to kill? ....do not delete this from the ttk change forum it's relevant. Notice many classes not being used or killed easily. Revert back. This is awful.

- @arownicus This is a shooter game. Shooting should be the main focus. Abilities are just cool gimmicks for specific playstyles. You are supposed to use abilities as well as primary fire. Some characters still rely on abilities to be viable during fights (Kernel Corn, Citron, 80s Action Hero, etc.).
Are we gonna get an answer from the devs if they will revert it or change the spawning points or edit the maps and etc. cause, my favourite mode just turned into a mode I despise.

We have two active topics addressing this issue (that have both been vacant of EA/Popcap going over a week now.
I’m hoping to hear something about it in the next live stream. I don’t think it was ever going to be a permanent thing but it might have changed with all the information they have got from doing it.
I know I am late to the party but still i would like to share my opinion on this topic. First of all I would like to say that I am not a fan of this change. In my opinion the gamemode itself became less chaotic witch is a bad thing. Since there are less players you wont be able to earn as much xp as before. The thing with pvz gw or bnf is that the more players you have in the game the more thrilling it gets because there is just more going on the map. More Vanquishes, assits etc. If I wanted to play something less chaotic I would jump into Mix mode or Battle Arena. This change takes the fun out of it. The gameode is still ok but nowhere near the original. However the biggest and most annoying problem that only grew stronger with this update is the matchmaking system. And by that I mean after most of my games I have to go back to the Giddy park and search for another game because like half of my lobby left and no new players are being put into my lobby. I also love when we play like 3 vs 6 and no players are joining in so I leave to find fuller lobby but I get put into the same lobby. So I think to myself ok when I was put in here again it means that it is going to put more players in but no it almost never does. The matchmaking was not great even in 12v12 but now it is garbage. And the thing is in 12v12 when you have like 10v8 and no more players are joining in there is at least chance that you can do something about it but when you have dead lobby in 8v8 lets say 6v4 there is very little you cen do. And the reality is that even in 12v12 you never really get full lobby of 24 people. On average i would say that those games are always missing at least 4 people. Of course the longer the game is the more players join in assuming the lobby is not dead. The same goes for 8v8 only that you feel the missing players even more. Also someone mentioned that the skill levels of the Teams are more imbalanced now. I find that there are much more of those games when our team is spawn camping the other or vice versa. The last thing I want to mention is that those short inbetween breaks between games when you can look at your score or whatever are really short which is a good thing but it creates this problem when people are not quick enough to leave the game before the new one starts. So they leave the new game that just started which creates these scenarios of 6v2 etc. I would much rather wait 30 seconds how it was in GW2 then to only find out that the other team has no players.
PS: Also the leaderboard and rank plates look really cheap in comparison to GW and GW2 just saying :D
Personally I prefer the chaos of 12 v 12. I don't know what the developers are addressing by making this change. I notice a lot of players mentioning lag but the developers say that's not the issue ( I had serious lag when playing on my older PC, but switched to a newer one and the lag disappeared. Even when I switch to Europe with a higher ping I have no lag. I actually saw more lag with GW2. Maybe EA should up the minimum specs?). My experience was that 12 v 12 was rarely full and, just a thought, they changed it so it would look full. Even with 8 v 8 It's rare for me to get in a full game on the east coast servers. Still love the game and hope more play it.
