Are linked versions of garden warfare (console and PC) supposed to share progression and stickers?

Shortly before the PC release of garden warfare I heard rumors that linking accounts was supposed to link progression and stickers between PC and xbox 1 versions of the game. My brothers and I have been playing the xbox 1 version since its release and are now in the process of acquiring the PC versions so we can all play together. Two of us now have access to both versions and we are becoming slightly discouraged by the prospect of losing our progression from the xbox 1 version. So, is it possible to transfer or share our individual progression between versions and if so how do we do it? If it is not possible at the moment are there plans to add this feature in the future?

I am aware that the player/matchmaking pools are exclusive, ie pc and xbox users will never be on the same game together, but I was under the impression that characters unlocked by one were shared by the other as a primary feature of linking your gamertag to your origin account. I believe that the source was either Popcap or EA but I honestly don't remember.

I google'd around for a bit.  I couldn't find any gaming media talking about it.  I might have missed it but I don't think so.

    Sorry

  • An Origin account is required to play on the Xbox Versions, but character/rank progression does not get shared between versions.

I know, I have probably spent around 5 hours looking for some kind of answer but no luck so far. Maybe it is just me but since all of the sticker and progression data is stored on the EA servers it seems as though it would be very simple to add such a feature if it doesn't exist already. The downside of this is that the rumors might have originated from a bug in the way that linking the accounts was dealt with by the servers. Which hypothetically could have been removed due to the possibility of exploitation, although i personally don't know how such an exploit could be effective considering that all of the data is, as was previously mentioned, stored on the EA servers.

They're not shared. They probably won't ever be shared. Rumors are just rumors.
