Backyard Battleground Online?

Hi all,

Just got PvZ garden warfare 2 and so far what I see is great but I was disappointed to see that backyard battleground is not online with other players I know you can invite 3 friends but it could be so much better with a live battleground.

Any chance this might happen in an update (dlc)

  • You can play battleground online its just hard to get people to join you. The easiest way is to ask people instead of spamming.

You are missing the question obviously you did read the question correctly.

I am not spaming people to join in battlegrounds I am asking will there be an online role for the battlegrounds aka matchmaking etc in the future.
  • I doubt it. Aside from the infinity zone and story mission there's not really anything to really do co-op wise in the backyard battleground.

  • The backyard isn't all that big, having a living world with real people running around is a little more than it could handle.

I think a auto link to another player would keep the backyard fresh. Maby keep off auto chat to keep it friendly. And a opt in or out option for those who hate my idea.
  • Yea something like that would work. It could easily be done in the world options. Instead of just invite only or friends only, have open party option or search for group.

Maybe for a dlc idea a larger live battleground for constant control of the yard with different areas to control.

That's odd because it's in the beta they had it but not now?? I am confused as well I was looking forward to it it's one of my favorite game modes
  • Don't you just get friends into your backyard and then walk over to the battleground area and start? It used to work.

The OP is expressing a desire to be able to have more players than the four allowed.

Popcap limit to a group of 4 players because the group can play together on any mode (TT, gnome, subordination, team vanquish) and the server will try to make them in SAME group if possible. So there're too many people, it's hard to make the team balance so has to split them apart, which surely makes the group unhappy since they have to fight each other, instead of playing together.

Also boss hunt only allows maximum 4 players, so extra player will get kick out, and he/she will * off as well.

So with this consideration, maximum 4 players allowed in a group/backyard.

Summary of this, Popcap has a reason for its design. You've to see the big picture to understand and figure out the reason.
