I just tried to play Battle Arena after taking a 4-5 day break and am truly broken-hearted at the state of the mode. In 30 minutes, I played ONE game and gave up waiting for the lobby to fill for another. The game I did play was a 3 vs 4 from the start. We lost in 6 rounds and ended with me being taunted by a max rank protected by a Mech and two scrubs. Literally EVERY SINGLE GAME I've played post-patch has been like this:Turn on PS4 and connect to PSNStart gameTry to connect to EA for 5-10 minutes (usually takes 3-4 attempts connecting)Enter Giddy Park and select Battle Arena at the portalEnter portal and hope to connect (2-5 more minutes)As soon as the game starts, 1-2 of my teammates leave and I'm stuck playing highly unfair teamsHope to win 1-2 rounds as a Plant and get toxic taunted the entire gameLose and see the toxic people leave at the podium ORLose and when it's time to switch teams (play as a Zombie), the lobby is broken up and I find myself alone waiting for a new lobby/all the people who just played against me are in another serverWait for 5-10 minutes for the lobby to fill and usually, there's only ONE person needed to start the game but NOBODY is added!I should add, I can play a match for 10 minutes with empty spots on my team and nobody is added in their place?I thought the servers were fixed? The new instability is astounding to me, going on a week straight? BA used to be SOOOOOOOO fun, even if you were outnumbered. The servers were intermittent, at best, but 100x better than they are now. The lobbies only got toxic a few times per day and I've yet to have a FUN, non-toxic game since Ranked was released. It literally takes me ~10-15 minutes to simply start a game and I've yet to play consecutive games without waiting an extended amount of time between matches or playing as Zombies versus said toxic people (can't play the same people twice in a row).Not getting into imbalances of teams or the fact Plants are HOPELESS now...I'm sad to say this will be the end of my PVZ road, until BA sees some major changes or traditional/standard BA is brought back (even if only as an option to Ranked).Please bring back the old Battle Arena!

I didn't get toxic taunted but just before the server scrambled the lobby, a high-pitched voiced screeched out from the other team, "You're F***ing A**, Splash Damage."Notice I actually got disconnected for being inactive before finding another match.This was the first time I've connected to EA servers quickly but 9 out of 10 times, it takes me 5 - 15 minutes simply to get in Giddy Park.EDIT: 😊

@MrKritiek I was honestly asking why you were in the thread if you weren't just trolling. I asked this because of your insinuating I was lying. Up to this point, I've never experienced you as a troll which is why I was caught off guard by your reply. I don't exaggerate or lie and I spend TONS of time trying to help provide developers with videos of a variety of issues with the game. I think it's fair to say nobody else has come close to the video footage I've sent or posted the team and that's dating back to GW2 (I didn't record footage in GW1 but I played it). Point being, I'm not here to flame developers and in fact, feel sorry for them for the way this game has turned out. I think the software is different here, specifically, the mechanics related to movement and shooting. I also feel the servers lag is to blame for much of the instability currently in the game. That said, in NO WAY would I ever consider wasting time or posting/"complaining" about something that wasn't majorly BROKEN. I pay just north of $100 per month for internet service and am considered to be on a business package. My next option is $300 per month and I'd pay it/use the service but I've "test driven" it for a week and the game doesn't play differently; I still ping 50 - 70 to my best server. I spend time reporting these issues because I've been asked to so it wouldn't make sense for me to lie. Hope this makes sense to ya.I play on ALL servers with BA. The only servers I've not played on are Asia and Australia. European servers take FOREVER for me to play, too (PS4). I've played a few games of Ranked since it launched. For me I haven't noticed any chance in the waiting times, which is to say I experienced really long waits for full lobbies prior to the change and I continue to experience really long waits for lobbies after the change. While I have had decent continuous matches with short waits those were, and continue to be, few enough and far between enough that I don't really bother with Battle Arena.As far as performance as Plants, the last game I played several days ago we, as Plants, were getting trounced 0-3 and saw some light taunting from the Zombie team as they closed in on what was starting to look like an easy Win for them but then we managed to turn it around and win the next 4 rounds to take the game, and were treated to someone on the Zombie team calling out "You guys are hella trash" on their mic before half the lobby dropped out.But that, honestly, was about on par with the level of toxicity I've witnessed in other areas of the game but I don't doubt that with the introduction of Ranked we'll see a lot more problem behavior from people who have their Ego wrapped up a bit too much in the game.I'd blame server issues on EA since my experiences with EA games with online multiplayer modes in general has seen the same server problems consistently across all games which they publish.

@spIash_damage, sounds like you're just as dissatisfied as I am.We have completely different reasons for quitting BFN after all the dissatisfaction we individually got. Mine was due to the development team refusing to take my concerns seriously enough (not prioritizing solo/private play, and not reinstating the original level cap); yours is due to the unfairness of ranked battle arena which, I can't say much of because I've never actually played a full session of battle arena and I left BFN long before it even took effect.One veteran players leaves, another follows suit. Could this get any worse?

Battle Arena Is Ruined with Implementation of "Ranked"

I don't want to be very mean but i see that in many posts you're saying you are about to quit playing Neighborville.
In case you don't know, nobody is forcing you to play this game, you know?
If you don't like it just quit playing and find another game, but please no more drama, its just another person that stops playing a videogame. It's not like youre a a king stepping down the trone.
And about Ranked Battle Arena; since the update i myself can finally enjoy this gamemode, so much more players and waiting times are not that bad as you describe it to be.
Also plants are not hopeless, i had many matches won as a plant.

@spIash_damage I have found Ranked quite enjoyable but also has a decent amount of issues as well. What I think the developers should do is add battle arena as a regular and a ranked option. Then again, if they reverted it back to normal, that would be fine as well. That or please continue improving ranked battle arena so that are less issues with it! 🙂

@spIash_damage Dude i'm sorry i really didnt mean to offend you or calling you a liar. My experience with the improved Battle Arena are just different. And i am on PS4 in Europe.
Since they implemented "Ranked" i can find much quicker a good match.
I'm sorry that it is different for you, might be possible on another server.

But please don't call me a troll just because i see things different and i have a different opinion about ranked battle arena. That's not nice and i rather have things nice over here.
