Bfn has been becoming scummier and scummier every update

As if the state of the game wasn't bad enough since launch I've noticed that popcap have been incredibly scummy about the way things are added

First of all the rate at which content is added is beyond miserable, as if the game wasn't suffering from a massive lack of content to begin with, we literally only get one update a month, and all character and upgrade items are always at the absolute end of the price map which also requires more bulbs than last time each month, and you're basically forced to grind for literal ages or spend real money for bulbs. What's even worse is how they had made all these lies, they said that rainbow stars would be the only currency you could buy with real money but then they gave you the option to just buy prize bulbs with rainbow stars, if that isn't the definition of disgusting then I don't know what is.

I remember how around founders I read in some article about how popcap said they would be open with communication and would be consumer friendly with bfn, but so far this game has been far more scummier than gw2 ever was (and mind you it had legendary characters in upgrade packs but still at least it didn't do things as bad as bfn)

And then they lock legendary upgrades behind rainbow stars after they leave rux

So as if it wasn't bad enough already with the increasing grind required to unlock major gameplay impacting items every month once they leave rux they are locked behind the premium currency need I remind you all this is in a game we paid full price for. Even f2p games including ones by EA such as apex legends are much better than bfn

You know there are plenty of things wrong with the gameplay and balance of bfn that popcap doesn't seem to have fixed despite being so many months since founders and launch (sunflower and engi borderline ruining entire lobbies and in desperate need of a rework, parkour and hardened nightcaps and acorns actually breaking the game the list goes on) but we already have so many things making this game actually p2w that game breaking unbalance isn't even our top priority

People still play gw2 to this day but I already have trouble finding games in bfn on pc, I really don't know what will happen to this game at the current rate

@Hello_There_o_ I get that they want to move on and be more involved in bfn but that's no excuse for gw2 literally being thrown off a cliff for it's sendoff to the point it feels like they actually tried to sabotage it, I mean look at walnut hills it's a mess that they never even tried to make work from day 1 alongside the hackers and cheaters.

You would think that they now have lots of time on their hand they maybe could work something out for GW2.

  • @stukapooka Yeah it is also incredibly scummy how they actually have properly killed off gw2, players like me who joined a bit late have been especially screwed over and not only that new players are now at an even bigger loss because getting hovergoat and Torchwood is now much much harder and lack of community challenges means getting legends is now an even bigger pain than before as red chest was the best option, not to mention that the servers are now visibly worse

@MrKritiek Honestly I would just want bot matches for walnut hills and some stronger anti cheat with bug fixes.
  • @Hello_There_o_ yeah this is unfortunately not a surprise. EA is notorious for predatory tactics like these. They don't care about you they only care about getting money from microtransactions. I am glad I only spent $30 for founder's and haven't spent a dime on microtransactions and never will.
  • @stukapooka Well sorry but I don't think much can be done then

On the bright side you guys have a larger playerbase and don't have to deal with hackers playing as bosses every other round

@Hello_There_o_. Yeah, but for a guy who mainly plays with bots due to the stress of online it was a pretty big dissapointment, plus seeing my 3rd favorite gw1 map butchered into a buggy mess was pretty disheartening.
