My character challenge tips for Electric Slide are as follows:
Earn 5,000 XP as Electric Slide.
- Use the "Levelling Up" upgrade if you are trying to complete this challenge faster. Any action that grants more than 5 XP (due to rounding), gives you an extra 10% XP. It only costs 2 upgrade points to equip and you are not required to keep it equipped.
- As Electric Slide is an Attack character, always try to concentrate on vanquishes. But other means of gaining XP, such as going out of your way for a revive, assist or so on, is also a good idea as you will build up more XP.
- Remember, Electric Slide is excellent at damaging groups of enemies and scattering them. So if you see groups of clustered enemies take your chance and go for gold! You can get a lot of damage in this way, and hopefully XP as well.
- 2-3 successful games of Ops and Skirmishes should automatically award you this challenge, if they are full games.
- Use your Outta Fight! ability to get towards your enemies or away from them, if needed.
- You shouldn't have to worry about completing this challenge, because you should end up completing this challenge before the rest of them anyway, but it's good to keep in mind, so keep these tips in mind if you are working on your other challenges.
Get 100 Chained Hits with Boogie Bolt.
This means that you must deal damage to enemies using the "arcing electricity" on your Boogie Bolt primary attack. Your Boogie Bolt has an additional effect where, if you inflict damage to an enemy and one (or more) of their allies are nearby, your attack will branch out and hit them as well. You must get 100 hits using the "arcing electricity", not the initial hit on an enemy. This means that if there is only one enemy present, you will not make progress towards this challenge. For this reason, it is best to always target enemies if they are in groups when performing this challenge.
PvE TIPS:
- Ops and Skirmishes are excellent as there are clusters of enemies (at least most of the time). When enemies are grouped are near each other, hitting even one enemy will be very good as your arcing electricity on your Boogie Bolt will damage nearby enemies as well.
- Battle Chests could do the trick, but it won't be very effective if your enemies are too far away from each other.
- Bounty Hunts could be useful as well, it depends on if there are multiple enemies and if they cluster a lot. If there are multiple enemies with high health, like the Solar Sisters for example, you can inflict many hits with the arcing electricity.
PvP TIPS:
- Objective game modes are useful for completing this challenge, such as Turf Takeover and Surbination.
- Watch out for clustered enemies. You can use your Boogie Bolt to damage several enemies at once and get progress for your Chain Lightning challenge.
- Avoid lone enemies if possible as you will not get any points towards this challenge.
- Enemies with higher health are useful to target because you can damage them multiple times, if there are more than one in close proximity.
- Attack enemies that are easier to hit as the arcing electricity will damage the other enemies regardless of their hitbox (should they be close enough).
UPGRADES to ASSIST with this challenge:
- Jumper Cables (2 upgrade points), it extends the range of your arcing electricity of your Boogie Bolt, meaning you can hit multiple enemies from further distances.
- Chain Lightning (3 upgrade points), your arcing electricity from your Boogie Bolt can also hit an additional enemy each time you land a successful, meaning you can chain lightning enemies more often and more quickly.
Get 100 Stuns with Boogie Bolt.
Your Boogie Bolt has an additional passive ability. Not only do you deal damage and you can also chain lightning with it, but you can additionally stun enemies if you hit them with multiple consecutive hits (also called electrical stun). This challenge requires you to stun enemies 100 times using your Boogie Bolt primary weapon specifically. To activate this electrical stun ability, you must hit the same enemy with your Boogie Bolt directly multiple times. This challenge could take some time, so focusing on enemies with larger health and hitboxes is recommended by me. This does not require you to chain lightning additional enemies as well.
PvE TIPS:
- Use bosses to your advantage. As they are really easy to hit and have loads of health, they are the perfect target. You could fight Dreadwood or Blight Cap as they have bucketloads of health and hit them repeatedly. Just make sure to reload whenever possible so you are ready to inflict many hits without interruption.
- Ops and Skirmishes are effective, because of clustered enemies, but you are very unlikely to successfully stun enemies with really low health or really high mobility.
- Battle Chests can work well, but make sure you can hit the enemy multiple times in succession so that you can stun them. Higher health improves your chance of landing successful stuns.
- Bounty hunts can do the trick if there are enemies that are easy to hit or with high health present in that bounty.
PvP TIPS:
- Focus slow-moving or higher health targets. Try to reload in between fights if you don't have a full clip ready so that you are prepared for a fight and don't have to reload if you fail.
- If there is a still target, like a Zee-lixir affected enemy, a stunned enemy, or a Pea Gatling/Sunbeam, for instance, take full advantage of it.
- Aim before firing to make your shots less likely to miss.
- If you see an enemy with overhealth, try and target them so you are less likely to vanquish them before stunning them.
UPGRADES to ASSIST with this challenge:
- Jazz Hands (4 upgrade points), by dealing damage with Boogie Bolt, you stun enemies faster. Good for inflicting stuns more often or more likely.
Push 50 Enemies Away with Funky Bouncer. #
This challenge requires you to use Funky Bouncer to push 50 enemies around. This ability does not deal damage so you can do this challenge in conjunction with most of your others. Or even push them into your Disco Tornado, possibly. This challenge is excellent completing against grouped enemies, as you can push many enemies at once, therefore completing this challenge faster.
PvE TIPS:
- Ops and Skirmishes are effective as enemies cluster a lot. If enemies pile around the Grave-O-Matic, use your Funky Bouncer to push lots of enemies away. If you know where your enemies spawn in a Skirmish, and a bunch spawn, use your Funky Bouncer to move them away from you.
- Do not bother using this ability against bosses. It won't work. Sorry about that.
- In Giddy Park (Private with Al) you can push around Wildflowers if you desire.
- In Battle Chests or Bounty Hunts, if enemies group close together, take advantage of your Funky Bouncer.
PvP TIPS:
- Objective game modes like Turf Takeover are great for this as enemies tend to cluster, especially in Payload maps! Gnome Bomb and Surbination are also great.
- If you want to have some fun while doing this challenge, you can attempt to push enemies off cliffs or down holes.
- Make use of closely clustered enemies so you can push multiple at once.
- If an enemy gets in your face, use your Funky Bouncer to get them off you. You shouldn't miss either.
- Make use of this ability in enclosed spaces and corridors if enemies are present. You can push multiple enemies this way.
UPGRADES to ASSIST with this challenge:
- Amplification (3 upgrade points), your Funky Bouncer can push enemies that are at a further distance, excellent for possibly capturing more enemies, or pushing back enemies that are further away from you.
Deal 3,500 Damage with Disco Tornado. #
This challenge requires you to deal a total of 3,500 damage solely using your Disco Tornado, but it does not require you to vanquish enemies or deal this damage all in one go. This is an ability that you can detonate when desired, so you can use it from a distance and lead it into a group of enemies, then detonate it when ready. You are even able to use Outta Fight! and detonate your Disco Tornado, as long as you activate the Tornado before you use Outta Fight! As per normal, this ability is most effective when used in clusters of enemies, so make use of clustered enemies, as it will be much less effective against single enemies.
PvE TIPS:
- In Ops, you can allow enemies to pile up against the Grave-O-Matic, then use your Disco Tornado on the lot of them. You should deal a lot of damage this way.
- In Skirmishes, if you see where your enemies are appearing, you can see where your enemies are appearing from and launch a Disco Tornado that way.
- Both Ops and Skirmishes are effective in general for this challenge because of clustered enemies.
- You can use Bounty Hunts and Battle Chests to your advantage, especially when enemies cluster. So look out for that.
- You can do this against bosses, as they should take maximum damage from it. However, if there are no other enemies, you won't deal major amounts of damage.
PvP TIPS:
- Objective game modes are effective for completing this challenge, due to potential clustering.
- If you see a group of closely clustered enemies, use the Disco Tornado to your advantage.
- You can also try and focus enemies with high health and/or lower mobility, as you should deal a lot of damage to them with a single use of this ability.
- Use your Funky Bouncer to push around toward or into your Disco Tornado, if possible. It does take good timing however.
- If you are low on health, or want to move somewhere else while using your Tornado, after you launch your Tornado, use Outta Fight! This way you can't be vanquished for a few seconds while you place and detonate your Tornado. Remember, Tornado and then Outta Fight!, then detonate when ready.
- Try getting behind enemies and use your Tornado. You can use Outta Fight to achieve this! Then, see how well you can catch enemies by surprise and how much damage you can deal.
UPGRADES to ASSIST with this challenge:
- Turbulence (2 upgrade points), when enemies are damaged by your Disco Tornado, they have a chance of being stunned as well. If they do, they are less likely to escape and will take more damage from the Tornado. Good especially if you catch an enemy by surprise.
- Maelstrom (3 upgrade points), if you are inside your Disco Tornado and you are using your Outta Fight! as well, you deal lots of additional damage to enemies in a short radius. This is good for dealing even more damage for your Disco Tornado (needs confirmation). You have to be using your Outta Fight! and be inside your Disco Tornado at the same time for this to work, but the benefits can be insane.
- Conduction (4 upgrade points), for each enemy you sucessfully push with your Funky Bouncer, your cooldown for Disco Tornado gets reduced. Great for using Disco Tornado more often.
- Cooling Sparks (4 upgrade points), for each enemy you vanquish, your cooldown for Disco Tornado gets reduced. Great for using Disco Tornado more often.
# Upgrades, such as Critical Blow, Combo and Refreshing Revive, that reduce cooldown times of abilities, can really help with completing these challenges as you can use your abilities more often under the right conditions.
That's it for now and I hope that helped players out! Good luck completing your challenges! 🤞🙂
Me out!

@Cameroid07 It works best with Engineer and Peashooter, I would say, but seems to work well with a lot of other characters as well!
- 5 years ago@TheSprinter85 I tried it on Scientist and I found the most aggressive Scientist build: Materialize and Critical Blow.
- TheSprinter855 years agoHero
@Cameroid07 I have used Critical Blow previously, and have found it to be useful in some situations. The only issue with the upgrade is the fact that you need a direct vanquish, and a critical one at that. But it seems really useful for offensive classes and playstyles.
