I am pretty sure this guy is trolling. the maps favor pirate over cacti 9/10 times. I mean the parrot is better, barrel is better than tall nut and I think that cannon and potato mine are both equally worthless. Maybe potato mine is better in most situations though (depending on attacking or defending.
Well, from my experience, it depends on the variants and the skills of each players. The cactus as the first character I leveled up to master rank, and I believe that if you slap a damage upgrade on it, it can be devastating. Of course, what I think is kind of giving the pirates an edge is that they are designed as offensive characters, so they can give a feeling of domination just because of their style of fighting. I was having the same problem with the camo ranger and the super commando in GW1. It's just easy to get scared, and then you panic, and then you're dead.
