Cannot install update file

I just installed this game to my PS4 but I can't launch it. Whenever I start it, the screen says "Installing update file" and then keeps flickering without ever doing anything. I can press O to exi...

    Have you tried restoring licences?

    Select PSN > Restore Licenses

    I'm having the same issue I go to start Plants vs Zombies it says installing updates but keeps flickering and get stuck on the same screen I did try to restore license this and I did it but still it does not work still it does not work its stuck on updating and flashing no matter what I've deleted it 4 times now and reinstalled it I need help

      I am right there with you.  I have contacted Playstation but that didn't help.

        I had the same problem, you need to go into notifications>downloads and delete any files waiting to install related to PVZ, we had a sharefactory add on waiting to install, deleted this and all worked fine 🙂
