Can't Jump Using Spacebar

I just installed Garden Warfare 2 earlier today and I've been having no success solving this issue:

I cannot seem to jump with the spacebar, unless I am standing completely still. I can move and jump using different keys, but as soon as I bind Jump back to Space, I have to stand still to be able to jump anymore. This is extremely frustrating as I use space to jump in pretty much every single game I've played and trying to get used to using a different key would be more of an annoyance than trying to fix it.

EDIT: I've found that I'm only unable to jump while moving forward (with W). I can jump fine while strafing and moving back as well.
