Captain deadbeard is ridiculous.

Every pirates just use eggsplosions and then use barrel blast and escape behind. Can earn vanquishes really easily. It's totally unfair. He has too many one shot kill ways.

Primary sniper : Change snipe damage. Set fully charged head shot damage is 74 or less. More recoil requires depending on charge including instant snipe shot. Instant snipe damage 5 is absurd, so buff to 18.

Primary shot gun : Increase accuracy slightly. Increase total damage 10%.

Barrel blast : Reduce movement speed 30% after ignition. Penetrate 10% taken damage (assure 1 damage) apart from shield. After blast captain deadbeard cannot move untill get ground. While he can use only shotgun.

Parrot drone : Reduce eggsplosions total damage to 45. 95% plants cannot evade that.

Anchor : No need push R2 or click.

Buff HP to 125.

  • I will agree the eggsplosion is a bit much.  It does seem unfair.  

    Your asking for a lot of nerfs.  Are you having a hard time dealing with all these characters?  Or are you dominating lobbies with them?  I’m just trying to see what angle you’re coming from.

    The drone explosion has too much damage I agree. Also, the cooldown on the parrot is very low which means you can easily spam the eggsplosion the whole game. It's way too OP compared to the cactus' drone.

    Compared to the previous GW series, I seriously do not understand why they changed the snipers gameplay with the fully charged shots etc. In GW series sniping was smooth but in this game it feels much slower because I have to wait for it to charge up. But yea, a fully charged shot nearly 1 shots most characters which is a bit too much. I do understand that staying in a zoomed state leaves you vulnerable, therefore it does encourage high risk, high reward playstyle. But overall, I am no fan of the sniper changes in comparison to GW1/2.

    On a side note, I feel that sometimes the hits do not even register. I just finished a game where I fully charged shot another cactus (with no overheal) and then quickly did 28 damage afterwards and he was still alive. Feels as if the hits do not properly register on enemies, but that's another story!

  • @shoulder666 Deadbeards sniper is fine right now, its hard to aim and you have to conserve your ammo but a good deadbeard player can easily be a large threat to the enemy team.
    The shotgun buffs are a bit small but I will admit that its near unuseable without long barrel or scuttle shot.
    Barrel blast: once TTK is raised barrel wont be as much of a problem but I do admit that its a cheap escape and wouldn't mind if it was nerfed.
    I personally rather eggsplosion made the parrot much more vulnerable like its arm time being increased and the sound it makes being louder.
    Anchor: Wouldn't this be more of a nerf as you can't prep the anchor anymore and know where your going, I wouldn't mind if this was an option but its just kinda odd.
    Snipers should not have a good amount of hp, in gw2 deadbeard was ridiculously overpowered being able to crap out loads of damage and being very tanky.
