Character Balancing v2, targeted to Citron users.

Character Balancing v2, by a different person.

I feel like some characters need a bit more balancing.

Imp:

Pylon Imp:

Ammo increased to 18 (from 16) {EDIT: These buffs do not count as Pylon Imp does not get an ammo upgrade.}

Ammo upgrade increased ammo to 24 (from 22)

Deadbeard:

Captain Deadbeard:

Damage decreased on Sniper Shot (22-20) (24-22) {Take these with a grain of salt. I rethought them, and I realized the Deadbeard classes apart from Sharkbite need a nerf.}

Captain Sharkbite:

Ammo in Shotgun takes 2 ammo

Shotgun damage increased (18-26)

Captain Flameface:

Damage decreased on Sniper Shot (20-18)

Fire damage decreased (4-3)

Super Brainz:

Super Guided Ultra Ball: Damage decreased (125-100)

Projectile moves quicker.

Super Multi Ball:

Direct hit damage increased (35-40)

Plants:

Corn:

BBQ Corn:

Fire damage decreased (4-3) {EDIT: Rethought BBQ Corn and stock Corn nerfs as well.}

Kernel Corn:

Magazine decreased (45-40)

Party Corn:

Magazine increased (35-40)

Damage decreased (7-6-5-4 - 6-5-4-3)

Rose:


Party Rose:

Damage increased (4-5 - 5-6)

Magazine increased (20-25)

Default Rose:

Damage decreased (7-8-9 - 6-7-8)

Citron (Here we go.):

All:

Health decreased to 175. {EDIT: Do not count this health nerf as Felipe said the Citron are the All-Star plant variant. 🙂}

Frozen Citron:

Damage decreased (6-7-8 - 5-6-7)

Overheat penalty time increased

Default Citron:

Damage decreased (7-8-9 - 6-7-8)

Torchwood:

Health decreased (275 - 265)

Flamethrower damage decreased (15-10)

Final balance change.

Chemist:

Damage increased (35-40)

Ammo increased (6-7)

Ammo upgrade increases ammo (7-8)

Notes:

Citron nerfs. Oh boy, I had fun writing those. The citrons are the most broken characters in the game. Almost 95 percent of all deaths in the entire game are due to those damn oranges. They need a health decrease.

As for the torchwood, I felt like he's a little too tanky and could receive a nerf to their flamethrower attack (Blazin' Blast).

Rose has seen many nerfs, but to this day almost 90% of scumbag default Rose users murder my face instantly. I felt like her damage was a little too high and might give Druid Rose a new spotlight.

The Pylon Imp has seen many nerfs, and I felt like it was time to give him some not-so-bright sunshine. I decided to have an ammo increase on him because I felt like nowadays it takes a little more than 16 or 22 ammo to vanquish an opponent as this character.

As for the Deadbeard class, again, I had fun writing these. I felt like Sharkbite was a little too powerful and the standard Deadbeard was a little too powerful as well. I decided to nerf their weapons because they do a little too much in terms of damage output.

As for the Frozen Citron, while this guy did receive like 3 or 4 nerfs, is still really powerful. His beam can drop foes really fast and I felt like he deserved another nerf.

And finally, the Chemist. This guy is really fun to play as, but requires a lot of skill. Up close, the Marine Biologist does as much damage as the Chemist, AND the Marine Biologist has range. The Chemist deserved a buff at this point.

I hope PopCap considers my list and maybe some of these features will be added into the game! Comment what you think! 🙂

    People who reached 5400+ know what characters are broken because when they play as the worst characters, they learn others also exist, and also the struggles of fighting strong variants and finding out that it is completely unfair. Like try playing as metal chomper or wrestling star. When I played as plants I always struggled with imps, when I Played as zombies I always struggled against corns. 


    That is strange. Imps are super easy to kill with the right counter and the same are corns.

    Also I feel that the poster really lacks some game experience; he talked about the vanilla rose and not about the druid rose which is the strongest rose around by far; same for captain sharkbite, the strongest pirate variant.


  • Everybody has the right to there opinion. However.... when I was at that rank I feel like I was still getting use to the game and maps. That being said, I do agree that you should put more time in. If you just got the game at Christmas, then yeah, there's a lot of citrons in each game. You just have to find your character class or variant for beating them. I have no problem with teams full of citrons currently. It will settle down when people get through mastering them. Now if you see someone who has mastered them and has a low rank, then you just need to gun them down until they leave🙂. I'm certainly not trying to discourage you from making post, I just think you need to give it a little more time. Unfortunately the pans guy is right. This forum doesn't seem to get changes made on this game. Somehow reddit does with some of the worst suggestions. Best of luck leveling up. I think you will have changed your mine in a few months. For now they should just leave the characters alone and work on new TT maps. I like zombopolis and would like to see more levels with that feel. Where you have to engage a bit more than sitting back.
  • @AlexP1980 you mean captn canon, sharkbite is balanced

    @dwooten77 yes it is time for a new DLC, new zombie attacking map, 8 new variants like in the good old times (only GW1 characters need new variants) and a low coin pack, 20k max, thats all I want for months! We got 8 characters in 1 year and 2 of them were not been released in the offical release (toxic citron and BBB).
