Character challenges don’t complete

Product: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
Platform:PC

In what game mode did the bug occur? Everywhere
Summarize your bug On NINTENDO SWITCH (selected PC as advised by your Twitter team) Character challenges 5/5 will not complete. The other 4 do, but when you get to the 5th it just says you’ve done for example 25/25 vanquishes but never completes and sometimes even knocks you back one to 24/25 randomly as seen in first photo.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try to complete all 5 character challenges that you use a key for. The 5th and final challenge won’t acknowledge completion. I have only tried with pea shooter and 80s hero, but have seen on Twitter people are having this problem with all different characters.
Which character were you playing when the bug occurred? Peashooter
What upgrades had you equipped with this character? Tried both with none and with various others.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

In photo one you can see even though I’ve hit 25 numerous times, after a few minutes it goes back to 24, never completing even when it shows 25. 
second photo is where this one is stuck, all challenges done but won’t acknowledge completion.

I have tried deleting the game and reinstalling, hard resetting and soft resetting but I think since all the info is saved on the EA account it hasn’t made a difference.

please fix this, I love this game and preordered it. It saddens me that if nobody else reports it then it may not be fixed. There’s a number of people posting screen shots on Twitter, but whether people are acting on it or not I’m not sure.

    Hi,

    We have implemented a fix for this issue which happens only on the Nintendo Switch.

    If you return to Giddy Park, you should be able to complete the challenge the next time you make progress towards the last challenge of each character i.e. if you were at 19/20, get to 20/20 one more time and the challenge should now be completed.

    You may also notice that the 100% character challenge completion reward has now changed 🙂

    All character Challenges are still impossible to complete once we have 999 bulds with no way to spend them, what's taking so long?

    Let's face it - in typical EA fashion they no longer care. They've moved on and the current broken game is the best we'll ever have.

    I have contacted support on this issue and didn't receive help. I don't see any real answers on here either. I think once I completed the prize map is when it started over a year ago. I was a daily player and never missed a character challenge until then. It's no fun anymore. I submitted screen shots to support the first time just for them to get back to me a year later and ask for the screenshots again. I have screen shots here showing they are completed (such as 10/10) but not actually getting the completed check mark. Also don't like you can't spend your bulbs anywhere but the festival map. I have screen shots here and you can see my experience is higher in the screen shots so it's not like the pictures were taken before. I have tried updating, reinstalling, going back to the park like recommend on here, but nothing works. The progress goes back to what it was when I exit wherever I am when I earned the last credit.

    I can't imagine ever buying another PvZ EA game, if a permanently broken state with false promises that they've fixed it, is the fate we all face.
