Character Upgrades - Support Upgrades (Guide)
Heyo,
How's everyone travelling? In here, I will be covering the character upgrades that are unique to Support characters, which means only Support characters can ever access and use these upgrades. This specific guide covers the Support upgrades, these characters begin with these upgrades without any further actions and you do not have to do anything to unlock these upgrades. I will cover different aspects of the Support upgrades, such as their point cost, uses, their stat boosts they provide and which situations they are worth using in.
I used the PvZ Wiki (no specific pages) to help me with the upgrade names and stats, check out a BfN character (Support class) in the PvZ Wiki and check out the upgrades there, there is my source/s.
THE SUPPORT UPGRADES
Super Savior
This upgrade costs 1 point to equip. While you are using this upgrade, and you are reviving, you are freely able to use your abilities and jump as much as you would like in the revive circle, which you normally cannot do. This allows you to improve your survivability and allow you to protect yourself with abilities while you revive someone. Sometimes, you can still benefit by activating an ability before going for a revive, and you can always jump during a revive with this upgrade, even if your abilities are negated.
What situations this upgrade could be good to use in:
- As an effective way to support allies.
 - If you really enjoy reviving.
 - If you want to improve your chances of getting successful revives.
 - If you want access to your abilities unrestricted or want to be able to jump around.

Revive Reward
This upgrade costs 2 points to equip. When you successfully revive an ally, including through a shared revive, you will gain 75 health as a reward for your efforts. Additionally, you gain 10% armor during a revive. This is good if you are starting to run low on health and need a quick boost of health. You can even gain overhealth this way, meaning that having full health will still benefit you somewhat when you get a revive, as you will immediately gain maximum overhealth. Just note that it will start to decay soon after you get it, but you simply need to revive another ally to reset the overhealth.
What situations this upgrade could be good to use in:
- If you want more survability during a revive and after.
 - If you want overhealth, or more health gain.
 - A way to reward you from getting revives.
 - When you can get lots of shared revives.

Rollout
This upgrade costs 2 points to equip. Whenever you spawn for the first time, respawn or you get revived by an ally, you will gain a 55% movement speed boost for 7 seconds. This is very useful for getting back into the fight and supporting your allies as necessary. If you get revived, you will always be revived with full health when using this upgrade. Overall, this upgrade will boost your survivability significantly while it is in effect by making you harder to be hit by enemies.
What situations this upgrade could be good to use in:
- Head back into fights faster.
 - Get to your allies faster.
 - If you want additional speed.
 - Have more survivability after being revived.

Hard Target
This upgrade costs 3 points to equip. If you take damage, you gain a small movement speed increase. This can stack a maximum of 4 times, so taking damage 4 times (and not being vanquished) gives you the maximum possible increase. When you first take damage, you move 15% faster for 1.65 seconds, this time will reset each time you take further damage, up to a maximum of 4 times. Taking a second set of damage will increase this movement speed to 30%, the third set is 45%, and the last set is the capped maximum of 50%. This is good for retreating or even knowing that you have taken damage.
What situations this upgrade could be good to use in:
- Retreating from bad situations.
 - Indicating that you took damage.
 - When you take rapid, but low, damage, or are exposed to this.
 - To head to allies faster for protection.

Combat Aura
This upgrade costs 4 points to equip. Whenever you get a Vanquish Streak of 5 or more against enemies, you gain a damage boost aura. This damage boost aura has a 5m radius, so your allies can actually benefit from this aura as well, so when you get it, try and benefit yourself and your allies with it as much as possible. The damage aura boost increases damage output onto enemies from you and your allies in your aura by 25% and this damage boost aura lasts for 15 seconds. This is useful when your team is close together, or you need additional damage to push through.
What situations this upgrade could be good to use in:
- If you want to increase your damage.
 - If you can get vanquishes quite easily (shared vanquishes count).
 - If you stay near your allies a lot.
 - To push for extra damage in tough fights.

CONCLUSION
While the Support upgrades are actually sort of basic upgrades at the end of the day, and do not tend to provide game-changing buffs, they can be equipped and unequipped as often and as much as you like and they can very much benefit newer or less experienced players while they get more of a grip on the understanding of the game. You do not need to unlock them before being able to use them, and these upgrades might even synergise well with some of your other character upgrades, even for more experienced players.
You are unable to equip all the aforementioned upgrades at one time on one build at once, and remember every character also has access to basic upgrades from the start, so consider what upgrades suit you the most. What fits your playstyle. This upgrade system replaces variants, so take advantage of these upgrades!
Bye!

I always equip Hard Target when play Support Characters (I don't equip Steam Blaster and Thorn Apart) even when playing Wizard.
It gives characters high survivability.
